  1. Yellow vs. White Fog Lights: Which Do You Prefer for Winter Driving?

Back in the early 80's when I got into 4-wheeling amber/yellow lights were called fog lights and white lights were called driving lights and also auxiliary back up lights. The white lights tended to reflect back at you in the fog. However with my Rangers white lights mounted lower than the 78...
  2. Vacuum pump to extract their engine oil?

I will not commit on which is better, but I know the extractor is a great tool to have. Sucks out transmission, t-cases, diffs, and makes bleeding breaks so easy. I have a line with a tee fitting on it to bleed one axle at a time.
  3. Teach them young - sometimes.

My 10 year old granddaughter has always had to have a toy truck just like her Papa's, 2 different F150's and even the Ranger I got 4 months ago. She even has her own set of mini craftsman wrenches she would work on her truck while I worked on mine. It was always great having my little buddy...
  4. Explo happened in Plant City

That's what Grandfather's do. My problem is my granddaughter is already trying to get my Bronco from me. Troubles are I am not done with it yet and worse she is only 10. But we all know in the end Lily always gets whatever she wants from Grandpa.
  5. Well, it was bound to happen. Deer strike.

Back in the late 1990's I was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood MO, and one of the county sheriff's offices was taking a lot of heat because they were trying to feed their prisoners road kill they had picked up from the roadside. Not their own hits but animals they came across or were called to.
  6. Rear brakes - Pads and Rotors needed

I was concerned about my brakes when I bought my 19 a few months ago, after some research on the forum and got forscan and the connector. I bled the ABS and problem solved. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum that are always ready willing to help anyone in need. So to all...
  7. Tools

I carry a flashlight, jumper cables, a Milwaukee 18volt impact and 19mm socket. On longer trips the torque wrench goes also. I'm too old and tired for the lug wrench.
  8. Ford Ranger-Lightning edition

I have never seen lightning hit a civilian vehicle before. I'm sure it happens a lot I just never seen it. I have seen multiple military trucks hit by lightning and did a big number on the electric system, one even caught fire. Luckily I'm to was a cargo truck and not the fuel truck parked two...
  9. Advice for driving on the beach!

Year round I carry a folding shovel and a tow strap. I have carried these items since I got my first 4x4 a 78 F250, in 1980. But also remember no fast starts, spinning tires means digging in. Also avoid sudden stops, same results. Most important have fun.
  10. Joined the Ranger Club, New to me 2019

I have had my '19 XLT for about 3 months now and love it, I think you will too. They are great trucks, and ride very comfortably down road paved or not. So far my only issue is that I found the rear defrost does not work, but it's a used vehicle and if that's it's only problem it's nothing. You...
  11. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

$2.49 a gallon, I wish I had seen that yesterday I would have filled up but my attention was stuck on Grandpa. Very nice truck, only hope my Ranger can last that long while looking as good.
  12. Newbie with Red Tremor

Very nice truck. My old neighbor had a dachshund that used to run away all the time. Even when he was chained up to his heavy dog house. Duke would walk to the end of him chain and then run in the direction he wanted to go until he choked himself out. Then wake up and do it again.
  13. Look at my Ranger parked next to stuff

Went to Walmart and found my Rangers Grandpa in the parking lot.
  14. Little Rascals

Christmas is coming a nice gift for the kids and parents might be the glued key FOB minus the pull out key.
  15. New tires - I’m in love

I have a stock 19 XLT non FX4, it came with 255 65 17s. I put 265 70 17s on yesterday and have no rubing issues. I went with Firestone Destination A/T2's but same size so the Wildpeaks should work the same.
  16. New tires for my 19XLT

I ordered my Ranger new tires on Thursday and had them put on today. After a lot of research here and other sites as well as talking to people at tire stores I upgraded my Firestone Destination LE3s in stock size 255 65 17 I went with Firestone Destination A/T2's in 26570 17s. I like the look of...
  17. Tire Brand Poll

I voted, yes always vote your voice is important. I looked at the Bridgestone, but they couldn't get them in the size I wanted 265 70 17 in in a P and do not need or want the 10 ply. My Ranger is a daily driver almost exclusively on pavement and my trailer never weighs more than 2000 pounds so...
  18. Blackout wheel lip fender moldings

The black looks real good against the silver truck
  19. Tire Brand Poll

I currently have Firestone LE3s on my Ranger, but tomorrow it is getting a new set of Firestone Destination A/T2's. I have had great luck with LE 2/3s but want a more aggressive tire for my Ranger 4x4.
  20. Short Term Storage

I remember my dad doing the tennis ball thing in his garage for my mom's Galaxy back in 1973. They are great tools.
