  1. TOYO Open Country A/T III

I found the factory tires to be very, very quiet, but they have very little tread depth. And no, its certainly not obnoxious. Pretty standard highway hum. Id say its a bit worse than i remember from Cooper AT3's & Firestone XT's. But nowhere near as bad as Cooper SST's or BFG TKO's. I dont think...
  2. TOYO Open Country A/T III

I guess VAMike doesnt know what he's talking about... So i didn't actually get to do any serious 4x4. Everything in SC was dry, and i mostly walked around. But i can report of everything else. Highway noise is substantial. Its not any worse than other All Terrain tires, but its certainly not...

What non LT tire would you suggest for my brothers 1/2 ton with a ~3000lbs payload capacity?

Unsprung weight is a huge deal, and will certainly reduce your MPG's. The only reason i went with the E Range tire vs the C Range is the tread depth. 16.3 vs 13.4. Wow guys. Thanks for all the replies. Sorry for the delay in responding, ive been camping out of cell service range. I actually didnt realize until i stopped for gas and smelled burnt oil, so i popped the hood. i think a few drops got on the header, or on the turbo shield. Since i didnt have...
  10. 1st service nightmare

I took my truck in for my complementary 1st maintenance yesterday. Long story short, I popped the hood this morning and the dipstick was unseated from the manifold, and oil has sprayed everywhere. I called the dealer, and am bringing it back in Monday morning. any advice on what I should ask...
