I though about doing something like that. But I’d forget the tablet in the truck and get my windows broken in 2 seconds. But that looks way more useful.
I think that picture is from before I 3D printed the mount for it. Now it sticks out at a 45* angle from the dash and is easier to read from the driver seat.
I’ve been trying to order engine cover studs to install my engine cover, but ford is back ordered according to the dealers around me. Does anyone have some extras they’d be willing to part with?
Does anyone have and ideas on how the x gauge stuff works. I've tried most of these codes: https://www.scangauge.com/x-gauge-commands/ford-lincoln-mercury-specific-cansf/
But the only one I could get to work was the transmission fluid temp.
So far I’m monitoring battery voltage because I’m planning on installing a second battery soon and I want to see what voltages the battery runs at in different conditions.
Engine water temp.
Transmission fluid temp.
Current mpg.
The scanguage is pretty neat. I'm still messing around with it trying to get xcodes and stuff working. The only one I've been able to get working so far is the transmissions fluid temp.
That looks great. Thanks for sharing it. You just sold me on the overland topper. I wasn’t sure how the black strip would look on the truck, but it looks good.
It seems ok. I’m not thrilled with how I have it mounted. I think I’m going to have my friend 3D print me something to attach it in the same place but at a slight upward angle.
I got a Scangauge 2 today. I played around with it a little bit after work this evening. I noticed a few weird things.
1) My boost reading was usually a negative number unless I really got on the throttle.
2) At idle the throttle position sensor was reading around 15%
Any suggestions on...
