  2. How to Clean Intake Valves On Ford EcoBoost Engines with CRC GDI IVD® Intake Valve Cleaner

The best thing according to Ford is not use shit gas. It is explicitly stated that these engines need Top Tier gas, which has extra detergents and cleaners. Look for the green sticker on the pump stating that it is top tier. Costco is one source. If you google top tier you can find a list of...

  5. 21er Ranger Wildtrak 2.0 Ecoboost transmission problem

Likely to be $16,000 now with the new tariffs. Thank you Don the Con. There is no such thing as "lifetime oil". I am changing mine at 40k miles or so and adding a bottle of the superlube people are using. As far as I know all the 10R80 transmissions are the same.
  6. LEFT AND RIGHT OUTER ENGINE SPLASH SHIELDS

I don't need the shields, I need to know where they go.
  7. LEFT AND RIGHT OUTER ENGINE SPLASH SHIELDS

I bought a 2021 Ranger XLT FX2 that had been bumped on the front passenger side and the body shop did a terrible job putting it back together. I took off the front bumper and passenger fender and fixed what I could, replaced missing parts and took out the sheetrock screws that held some parts...

  9. Sold my Ranger... Leaving the group

My grandfather had 3 oil wells in Oklahoma. They went dry 30 yrs ago. If you happen to drive through west Texas and Oklahoma you will see thousands of wells that aren't pumping or are capped. They are everywhere and only a few are operating. That is the future.
  10. Sold my Ranger... Leaving the group

Oil used to shoot out of the ground hundreds of feet in the air in Texas and Oklahoma. Now it has to be pumped out of the ground and the rock fracked to allow the last dregs to be pumped out. We may not see the end of oil but our kids will. Interesting read here about West Texas sinking...
  11. Sold my Ranger... Leaving the group

Maybe shocked today but the last time I looked the oil reserves in the world will only last another 60 yrs at present consumption. We need to get used to non fossil solutions and move on to bigger and better things.
  12. Rubber covers around tow loops in front of 2021 RangerXLT

These boots appear to go around the rear of the front tow hooks. They look like they act as a splash shield but Ford calls them a ram air duct...
  13. Rubber covers around tow loops in front of 2021 RangerXLT

Why are the rubber boots around the front tow loops on a 2021 ford ranger XLT called ram air ducts? Do they direct ram air to components that needs to be cooled? Would it hurt to leave them off? I am reinstalling air dams/splash shields around right front of bumper repaired by BBS.
  14. SICK OF ACRONYMS

It had a serial number indicating it was one of the first 3000 sportster engines built. As I remember, it was a 1957 that was used by a dirt racer before I bought it in 1971. It had been bored out 0.060 thousandths and the heads were polished and ported. I put a 1.75 inch British SU...
