The physics don't lie. Otherwise there wouldn't be anybody writing about the problems they are having with driveshaft vibration after they install a leveling kit or lift kit? And why would anybody want to screw up the geometry of a perfectly good truck suspension that engineers have studied...

And yet a third showing the science.
I just installed one. The cap on the transmission was a bitch. It is a steel cap in aluminum, so it galls into place. Like you, I used a stack of extensions and a swivel socket with a 2 foot breaker bar. I positioned the stack as close toward the firewall as possible and really had to put...
The leveling kit may not be such a good idea. Gas mileage goes down, there is the possibility of introducing driveshaft vibration and if you haul a substantial load or trailer, your low beams will become high beams.
And how would you arrive at that incorrect conclusion. If you raise the front and not the rear the engine and transmission go with the front. That increases the angle between the front and the rear. This is well documented and it can cause driveshaft vibration because the more angle put on u...
Just the facts. One might be able to tilt the differential up a couple of degrees to try and compensate. That wouldn't do anything for the u joint at the transmission tho.
I don't know if Ford has fixed it, but there are reports that leveling kits can introduce driveshaft vibration because it increases the angle the U joints must accommodate between the transmission and rear wheels.
You might want to consider whether you plan or will be towing a trailer. If you have a leveling kit, putting a trailer of any significant weight on it will turn your low beams into high beams and may make your high beams unusable. Also, a leveling kit will reduce your gas mileage. There are...
That's sales propaganda to sell more trucks. If it was true the poster wouldn't be having problems. And it's obvious that any significant protection for the bottom is missing when sold. Further, as a different poster noted, the skid plates are so flimsy that they can be bent by hand. I put...
Nothing is simple on the front of that truck. I just got through rebuilding all the front bumper parts and part of the right front fender because a body shop screwed it up royally. Now I need the "small air dams" if they are the ones that protect the fog light wiring. There is nothing there...
I am in the opposite situation. I mounted a full size OEM skid plate to my 2021 XLT FX2 and am looking for an air dam that will fit with it. The FX2 has the hooks without brackets, so I fabricated brackets for the skid plate. It fits perfectly. I also need some kind of splash shields that go...
