Ive only done the back seat once so farand you have to give it a good shot to get it to latch, first time it didnt catch, second I pushed harder and it did. Hopefully it will loosen up.
This thread popped back up and I just realized I have yet to notice if mine has it or not, lol. I,ll have to go have a look.
Edit- Nope, not there. I guess Im not gonna miss it if I didnt notice!
Keep an eye out you US guys for when these tonneau covers hit the ground and let us know. Im sure you will see them before us up here and since I can almost see Michigan from here I can always get one brought in. I miss having one already.
I think thats possible, but Im understandably bit nervous about giving it a big yank. Also its one piece under the steering wheel from door to center console , so that whole thing has to come off.
Id like to know how to get into the fuse box too! The owners manual is no help, it just shows the location and an arrow I assume indicates a pulling motion. I tugged as hard as I dared with no luck . No visible screws or fasteners.
Not much to see up under the mirror. This is looking straight up, just the plastic box up against the back of the mirror
Edit- to explain this the front of the truck would be to the right and you can see the back side of the mirror on the left
If you look near the rear of the mat you can see a couple circles, thats where they attach to the carpet. I havent checked out exactly how yet, but the are pretty secure.
I just went out and checked mine and yes there is a pretty good vertical gap on the side, but it is quite tight on the bottom. Will much dust get in ?, I,ll let you know when a tonneau cover comes out!
So I picked up my truck today and trying to familiarize myself with it I do have a trail controll and diff. lock button... but no where in my package, window sticker, spec.s etc does it say I should have this and when I press the buttons nothing seems to happen on screens or that is obvious ...
As said above the weird "piped in" engine noises are mostly fake, a concept I still find bizarre, but it sems to be happening all over. I find the cab to be very quiet, certainly coming from the Frontier, but its generally and nice quiet ride until you get on it and even then its no issue at all.
I work in what we call the "chemical valley" here on the Ontario /Michigan border, we have a few refinery's here, but at the Imperial(Esso) one here in particular, there are tanker trucks from everywhere leaving it to Michigan and Ontario from Bilo and cosco to many other brand name stations...
Test drove a lariat and bought it 45 mins later........ I thought it was alright:)
Honestly I barely notice the tranny shifting, maybe some issues with one, nothings perfect.
I forgot to mention that the engine did not "auto stop" at all on my test drive, not sure why as I forgot about it at first, but payed attention later and did not notice it shut down.
Ok, so after all that, what are my impressions. As I said it was a bit of a whirlwind, but I,ll try to make a couple points.
-It rides like a truck, I was on some crappy but paved roads and the rear suspension seemed stiff, not terrible, but firm. Might soften up a bit over time.
- Big screen...
