This is a bit too far for a day trip for me, I am up by DIA and this is about 200 miles one way. Open to longer drives if we are camping.

  3. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Install isn't bad at all, Frank with @Stage3Motorsports hooked me up with a small discount and we had a brief chat on the phone earlier this evening. If you're in the greater Denver area, I'll happily help you install.
  4. What did you do to your Ranger today?

    Raptor style grille is on!
  5. How Can A 4 Cylinder Tow So Effortlessly?

Towed around 4.5k pounds in a 12ft Uhaul enclosed trailer a couple weeks ago. No issues even when crossing the smokey mountains. I see why the Ranger is so highly regarded for towing in the mid size truck segment.
  6. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Yankee Trail outside of Idaho Springs, CO.
  7. (suggestions wanted) Pro Tip: don't let the radio antenna get pulled out of your roof - pictures included!

A recent collision won’t impact registering the truck, but will impact insuring the truck. I just moved from Florida to Colorado. I didn’t open a claim with my insurance but I did call to ask how they’d code it which is where the at fault collision thing came up.
  8. Anyone buy the stubby?

I for one am glad to know I'll be forever known as the antenna guy
  9. (suggestions wanted) Pro Tip: don't let the radio antenna get pulled out of your roof - pictures included!

I've decided that I'm paying out of pocket either way, my insurance is calling this an at-fault collision which will create some serious hell for me in a couple weeks when I go to register my truck (I just moved halfway across the country a week ago)
  10. Rapid Red STX Build

Wow the wheel and tire upgrade makes a world of difference for the looks and stance of the truck. About how big are those tires? Looks like maybe 32-33 inches?

Update: Met with the property manager and they didn't immediately say no to discussing possible remedies to this situation. I made it clear that this damage was caused by a incomplete/negligent garage door opener install (on my first day, I was informed the garage door motor was brand new). I...

Yep it was the metal cable which caused the damage. I am renting this garage at my apartment complex, I plan to talk to the property manager but don't expect to get very far.

If memory serves me correctly, the Ford GT's V6 eco boost is also loosely related to the 2.7. Almost apples to oranges, however I think your point about the 2.7 being capable of some crazy numbers is spot on.

oh man I'm double replying, you ghosted me while I was typing the last response Visibly it doesn't look bad at all, however the antenna assembly won't sit flush/seal on the roof now and I'm concerned about water/debris getting in the hole. I would have just slapped it back on if the fitment...
  15. (suggestions wanted) Pro Tip: don't let the radio antenna get pulled out of your roof - pictures included!

Way better than the cosmetic issues my old car has. I feel like this truck is officially mine, now that I've broken something.
  16. (suggestions wanted) Pro Tip: don't let the radio antenna get pulled out of your roof - pictures included!

My mother is in insurance now and she suggested the same thing, I am pretty well set on paying out of pocket. I'm negotiating with the Ford body shop to see if they can get close to the independent shop since I feel better about having it done by Ford folks - body shop manager thinks he can work...
  17. (suggestions wanted) Pro Tip: don't let the radio antenna get pulled out of your roof - pictures included!

Living and learning for sure. The biggest issue I struggle with now is trying to decide if I make an insurance claim or pay out of pocket. I need to register/insure my truck in CO within the next 60 days and a claim will certainly not help, especially considering I am 23. I have an independent...
  18. (suggestions wanted) Pro Tip: don't let the radio antenna get pulled out of your roof - pictures included!

TL;DR: Garage door had a loose cable hanging from it. Antenna got caught up and ripped the entire antenna assembly from the roof. Body shops now quoting me anywhere from 1-2k to fix the dent, repaint, and install a new antenna assembly. If anybody can recommend a body shop in the greater...

Hey all, I’m just looking to piece together some essential camping gear. At the moment, I’m looking for a tent, some basic cooking equipment (propane stove, travel cups/plates/etc), and other tidbits. I will only be doing 1-2 nights at a time initially and I’d rather piece things together that I...
  20. Finally decided to join up

Which raptor grille did you buy and do you like it? I’m considering that as well.
