I’m running the rough country 6” lift. I had these wheels and tires with the readylift sst 3” leveling kit and had to cut the crash bars out but other than that had minimal running. I’m going up to 35-36” tires soon.
So Monday my wife and I were driving through town and I noticed when I stopped and it did the auto shut off thing it jolted a lot more than before. Enough that it shakes the entire truck pretty hard. I turned off auto start and when I stopped it jolted when I took off. It’s acting like neutral...
yes their 3.5” will work on a 2wd. You just won’t use the differential Drop plate it comes with. I believe it’s just like the ready lift sst 3/1. Lifts The front 3-3.5” and then ours 1” blocks in the back. I actually have FX front struts with the ready lift sst spacer already I stalked and FX...
there’s absolutely no reason not to go that high on a 2wd. It’s the exact same suspension minus the transfer case and axles. Anyway I already did it and it worked perfectly and handled like a dream on the 800 mile trip to Colorado and trail riding for a week through the mountains and back.
nice I didn’t figure if the dealers were taking them off it would be a huge ordeal. I actually already took the leveling kit off and put the 6” rough country on. Lol
My only other ranger was this 2003 Edge 3.0l 5 speed that I was able to fit 39.5x15.50r15 super swamped trxus on. I loved this truck but not long after putting these tires on I traded it on foolishly on a brand new truck back in 2008.
Installed the rough country 6” lift and the 589 winch mount with a smutty bolt winch so I took the horse trailer out for about an hour to see how the truck handled it. Everything went great and the truck didn’t miss a beat. Still need to pull the trigger on a livernois though. Once I get that my...
So I pulled my FX suspension off after having the ready lift sst lift on for 500 miles. Selling rear FX shocks, blocks and bolts and front FX struts with SST lift already installed. FX parts have 3500 miles on them. Asking $340 shipped...
i bought it directly from rough country for that price. Installed the lift in my driveway in about 8 hours with basic tools and installed the winch last night in about 4 but most of that time was spent messing with the wiring.
so far I’ve only put about ten miles on it because it needed an alignment and I spent yesterday putting the winch on for our colorado trip but it seems to ride pretty well. I took it down the highway and had no issues. I’ll be driving more today so I’ll update tonight. I did go with the upgraded...
