  2. Off-roading order of operations

some opinions from an off-roading enthusiast of moderate skill. :) A term I picked up for my time in the military is "exercising" our equipment. meaning, using all features or our equipment regularly to make sure it works when we need it. I try to get out on the back roads about once a month...

  10. Not a Ranger, but dealer pricing games info.

Harley dealers do this too. my buddy got a call about a year ago with an offer he couldn't refuse until he got to the dealer and they offered about $5000 less without looking at the bike he just rode in on. I'm guessing they think they can hook you once you show up but it probably does the...

  15. Tremor front seat position

Hey Kevin, I'm not too far from you. my 19 seats seem to go up and down when it's all the way back. maybe Ford changed something due to "supply constraints" We're not too far from each other. I'd be happy to meet up and compare. I was thinking of stopping by Griot's garage this weekend anyway...
  16. Mount point in front bumper

there is at least one company that makes re-location kits if you really want to put something there. I can't say anything either way, but I know they exist. there are past posts about them if you're interested. I believe recalibration would be required if re-located. Welcome to the forums and...
  17. Taillight replacement

How big is the crack and what can you live with? If there are no chucks missing and you're looking to save $, maybe you could use some type of clear epoxy to seal it and keep the elements out. I imagine you could sand and polish to get it to blend well if looks were important. Nobody will...
  18. Lariat Headlight Flicker

different tech but my gsxr with aftermarket HID lights started flickering a few years back. turned out my battery was low because my stator wasn't charging it. don't know if it's relative but could be low battery or a fault in the charging system.

  20. Ipod?

my iPod classic works in the usb port. can be controlled via touchscreen. interface is a little clunky. it's been several months since I used it last, but I think the touchscreen limits functionality when the vehicle is moving.
