  1. Anyone say, I should have purchased a different truck?

I'm no expert on Fords, but I recall riding in my Aunts Mustang II back in the 70's, so I can reliably say that was a POS.
  2. 2019 Lariat front turn signals

    Hm. Oh kay.
  3. Supercrew Rear Seat Delete w/Storage - Mission Accomplished

I saw this when originally posted, and I think I've seen either him or someone else who had the back loaded up with various tool boxes, and I can dig that. But, I just wonder why not get a scab and do the same thing, with the added bonus of a 6' bed. I know, to each their own, and he can get...
  4. VEHICLE HOTSPOT - WiFi

Off topic a bit, but I have Verizon and the data through the hotspot is NOT unlimited. Found that out when I needed to support a network migration while I was out of town, and my hotspot hit the cap and dropped to a crawl. Anyway, that is all. :)
  5. ProCal Software v2.962 Log In Error

Uh huh... what was this Nigerian Princes name? I'm kidding. :) Glad you got it sorted. I'm not surprised they didn't call back originally. I think they were all having a pucker fest, and chances are you weren't the only one with the problem.
  6. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

It's really more complicated than that, but OK.
  7. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

No, it's not. Is it using your internet connection? Yes. Is it connected to your home network. No. ETA: To be clear, if the router is decent (most newer models are, but obviously not all) then it's created a separate route for the guest network, so guest and home networks are isolated.
  8. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

Yep, and as Tremorky said, sorry to hijack, and I'll stop now... but for those reading, my recommendation is to have a guest or 2nd wifi network and use that for all this stuff. All my 'automation' stuff is on a guest network without connection to my home network.
  9. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

Copy that. When I started researching, and watching all the youtube stuff, I decided to pick one flavor and stick with that. There are the big 3, and who knows how many subvariants of automation stuff. Ain't nobody got time for 'dat! We already had a fireTV, so Amazon won. Jeff needs...
  10. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

Yeah, I've found whisper mode. Have you done "meow"? :)
  11. Use Alexa to Start Your Ranger & More

I think you can turn off that stuff... but it takes a while to find all the stupid settings in the alexa app. I just found the one yesterday to turn off those suggestions, but don't ask me where they are, it will take me another 6 months to find it. I only found it this time cause I was...
  12. Sync3

You can plug a regular USB memory stick in and it will index it. Not sure if it's just mine, but the stick gets corrupted from time to time, and the last time it happened it bricked my stick and I haven't bought another one. I am currently using an old ipod touch that works. And yes, I don't...
  13. New Taco review

Yep. I don't need 4 doors, and the scab with the easy access half-doors for storage and a 6 foot bed makes it perfect, for me. All my cars for 30 years were manual. The first thoughts of moving to autos was in my truck that I drove a lot on the beach, and began to think that an auto would...
  14. Leather Condition

Aside from the blog advert... when I do leather, I use this stuff. I got involved in detailing a long time ago when I had a BMW, and this is what all the hard core peeps used. I have not kept up with the detailing scene, and I haven't even done my truck yet. But anyway, here it is...
  15. New Taco review

I've had 2, a 84 corolla sport that I drove the piss out of commuting, driving it 60 miles each way at 80 mph. It had just shy of 300k when I donated it, and really didn't have any issues with it. I had a pre-taco 4x4 93 'pickup', which is all they called it then. It was a good ride, and...
  16. 19-23 Ranger In-Console Phone Docking System [New Release]

Nice. Because of how I use my phone I only use bluetooth and only plug it in when it's dead. It would be cool for v2 to have a wireless charger built into the minimalize version.
  17. Mice in Heater

I recall someone else posting a while back about mice back there, but given what was posted above about them getting to the back through the front vents, then who knows where they came from?
  18. Looks like the Ranger gets parked for a while...

Ouch. Sorry to read this. If you do decide to retire... and assuming you will have paid time off, disability or whatever, don't retire until all that runs out.
