  1. Nice job FORD

18k miles on the clock, some time spent off-road, some time spent towing, and zero issues here so far.
  2. Rough Country 2.5" Leveling Kit

About 15k miles on mine and no issues. Rides and drives like a truck. Be sure to replace nyloc nuts with new ones, had one almost back completely off when I reused it.
  3. Ford Bronco Testing prior to this Spring Intro

Trying to get my wife on board for one to replace her Explorer, but she's not hearing it yet.
  4. V8 Ranger Raptor Rumored For Australia

I'm good with the 2.3L, but still cool.
  5. Test drove a Ranger yesterday

What size tires were on the lifted Ranger? They slap 35s on it or something?
  6. Test drove a Ranger yesterday

Just have to find the truck that best fits your wants and needs. Pretty much every truck on the road is a great vehicle, in my opinion, each with their own pros and cons. I switched from a 2014 Tacoma last April and I'm very happy with the Ranger so far. Good luck with your search!
  7. Export ‘bread crumbs’ to KML file?

Anybody know how to export ‘bread crumbs’ in navigation to a KML file, so they can be plotted on Google Earth? I am trying to do this so I can map out trails on my property. Thanks!
  8. [Updated] Ranger Ford Performance Power Pack Performance Tune Software (M-9603-REB) Released!

I planned to tune my truck but after 15k miles I'm happy with it in stock form. If I ever do tune it I'll definitely be going with Livernois though.
  9. [Updated] Ranger Ford Performance Power Pack Performance Tune Software (M-9603-REB) Released!

Guess that answers the question of whether or not a reasonable tune is safe.
  10. Tuning the Ford Ranger 2.3 Ecoboost

That is what cracks me up...people will tune a vehicle, beat the hell out of it every time they get behind the wheel, and then act surprised when something goes wrong. Gotta recognize the risks, exercise some common sense, and own the decisions made along the way.
  11. Who came from Tacoma?

I can only speak to the 'GEN2' Tacoma but they are great trucks, just somewhat outdated and lacking a lot of the creature comforts found in vehicles like the Ranger. I had my eye on a "GEN3" Tacoma as my next truck but after hearing owner reports on other forums I never even bothered looking at...
  12. Who came from Tacoma?

I had a 2014 Tacoma Off-Road that I bought new. It was a good truck, no issues over 85k miles, but I like the Ranger way better.
  13. Uncomfortable

    Man up...
  14. Virginia WTS: XLT Grille Assembly, Ingot Silver

I'm looking to sell the OEM grille assembly that I removed from my Ingot Silver XLT after about 1k miles. Located in the Marshall, VA area and willing to ship, using packaging my replacement came in, if buyer pays shipping costs. Looking to get $100 for it. Thanks!
  15. Is anyone else really affected by winter blend?

I need to check but I think it is 87 octane. I haven't noticed any changes in performance besides the apparent bump in mileage. So far I seem to be getting better mileage than I did with higher octane fuels containing ethanol, but I need to run a few more tanks to see for sure. My local gas...
  16. Is anyone else really affected by winter blend?

I switched to ethanol-free recently and I'm seeing a solid 2 MPG bump after a couple of tanks.
  17. Potential issues with lifting/leveling the front end?

My Ranger is the second truck I've leveled with strut spacers, the previous truck being a 2014 Tacoma Off-Road with 85k on the clock when I sold it. I don't use my truck for desert racing or anything like that but they definitely see a decent amount of time off pavement during hunting season and...
  18. Potential issues with lifting/leveling the front end?

Just over 12k miles, lots of time off-road, and zero issues here so far.
  19. "Safe" towing limit without trailer brakes

I tow my RZR on a utility trailer with zero problems. Can't even tell it is back there for the most part.
  20. Obscure/little things you love on the Ranger

I like the trail control feature more than I expected. Initially I wrote it off as 'nanny BS' but after using it on some really rocky and hilly hunting trails it beats stabbing the gas over bumps. It is turning out to actually be a pretty cool feature. The truck is great off-road by the way, and...
