My main goal is towing, or carrying things in the bed, so I wanted the payload impacted as little as possible. I've heard too much bad about the stock FX4 road handling to pay that much for it too. My "offroad" is dirt/gravel road, maybe a rut here or there, no rock climbing or such. I figure...
OK, I have 2021 XLT 301A with 4X4 and rear locking diff options. I'm interested in TM and that sounds like it's worked out. Hoping for more word on TC, as there are times that could be nice too. I didn't want an FX4 due to the suspension and weight of the skid plates. But, getting at least TM...
Yeah, I think someone here mentioned it may be that engineers get bonus checks if they come up with cost saving during a model run. I think those bonus, if true, should be limited to improvements in production process or parts with no removal of features. If a friend of mine has a 2020 and I was...
Power wire, speaker wire, 50A breaker, fuse/distribution box, carpet, MDF board, steel panel, COM paint kit, and a bunch of other stuff to support the GMRS install. I think I'm at almost $800 in install parts cost for the $400 radio. ? Don't tell my wife. I already got the Lariat speaker...
I'm not sure that those without the tow package include the prewiring (2 or 3 wires tucked up in the dash that you need to pull down and crimp brake controller harness to) to support the official brake controller for the Ranger.
I remember when I was younger, I would say I'm not paying for an upcharge color, it's not worth it.
The last two vehicles I've bought next to each other:
It looks more charcoal next to that black bumper. On the BAP it is black like your bumper. I'm 6', but my wife and kids are not, so I thought of them in wanting the running boards.
No, lots of other parts to the BAP that I wanted: running boards, spray in bed liner, body color bumpers and wheel arches, and the black center of lower front bumper where it wraps to under the truck some. And of course, the mentioned Ford Badges.
My issue with the Splash is you can't pair it will the Black Appearance Package, I don't see why not, but you can't. I hope to get the Splash wheels for mine later.
In some ways the current Ranger is even better than the F-150. A fully loaded 6,000lb U-Haul 6x12 utility trailer is within Ford's towing guide on a new (+19) Ranger, but not for the F-150 (2005 or even 2021). For years the F-150 has been limited to 5,000lb without a weight distribution hitch...
OK. I didn't know they did that much talking between the two systems.
Maybe you need to manually pair the phone with BT before connecting it with USB for AA? Maybe there is some magic order of "meeting" each other for some of these things to work.
Ah, ok. Lariat only feature with that fancy gauge cluster. My XLT has the basic cluster. Just use the AA interface on the infotainment display. I think for that gauge cluster screen to work you need the phone connected as BT without the AA connection.
Anyone got the part number for a pigtail to the center dash speaker on the 2021 Lariat model with the 8-speaker setup? I've looked on Ford Parts some, but the 2 pin plugs I've found appear to have male pins in them like the speaker's connecter (also male).
Can you get a picture of this right side of the screen call history? With my AA the recent calls works fine, but its more of a full screen interface. It sounds like you are expecting information in the Sync menus while using AA, that is not how it was intended to work. But, perhaps I'm...
Yeah, because of that one repeater per repeater channel limitation to me the MXT575 is a good radio for a fixed location, home/base. But I already have the MXT275, and it reaches the only repeater I'm aware of nearby just fine. Yeah, the KG-1000G is more expensive once you add an antenna and a...
