  1. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Drove the Joshua Tree Scenic Backway down in the very southwestern corner of Utah.
  2. Keys Don't Proximity Unlock?

The fact that you can’t even option push button start and keyless entry on the XLT is one of the reasons I ended up with the Lariat. It kind of sucks that Ford requires you to get the higher trim level, but they did get more $$$ out of me, so I guess it worked?
  3. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Drove to the Bill Hall Trailhead on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon for a hike down to Deer Creek and Thunder River.
  4. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Drove up to central Utah to see the annular eclipse.
  5. Interesting Comparison

From Jalopnik: Ford Still Makes A Single Cab Ranger, But It's Called The Volkswagen Amarok
  6. Reliability and Adaptive Cruise?

The vast majority of the approximately 10,000 miles I've driven my Ranger have been with the adaptive cruise on. It's worked great for me. The only time I had an issue with it was when the radar panel got spattered with slush and I had to clean it off to get it working again. In contrast to...
  7. Blackeagle’s Build Thread

Had a Redarc Tow-Pro Elite brake controller installed.
  8. What's your kayak rack setup?

I just picked up my first kayak on Monday. I used the Pioneer Wrap Pads and a couple of cam straps to mount it to my Rhino Rack.
  9. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Thanks! It's the special Jungle Splash Edition color. First car I've owned that I actually like the color of, rather than just tolerating it. Yep. Still about 8 miles of dirt road along the lake.
  10. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Drove over Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park. Somebody in a Maverick parked next to me at one of the overlooks.
  11. What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Drove up to Crater Lake National Park and did a day hike with my parents (that’s Mount Thielsen in the background).
  12. Blackeagle’s Build Thread

Latest addition: a Mountain Hatch Tailgate Table. https://mountainhatch.org/collections/ford/products/mountain-hatch-for-18-22-ford-ranger
  13. Guess I'm finally going to order some bilsteins or something for the rear...

That video is what helped convince me to get the Eibachs with the reservoirs in the rear.
  14. Guess I'm finally going to order some bilsteins or something for the rear...

I put the Eibach Pro Truck Reservoir rears on my Ranger. Those, plus the Icon rear springs definitely improved the ride. Only have a few hundred miles on mine though.
  15. Icon rear spring?

I’ve got the Icons installed with option 3 (all the leafs). It brought the rear of my Ranger back up to stock height even with a topper, rack, and drawer system in the bed.
  16. Portal Gears

Humvees use portal gears (the real military ones, not the H2 or H3).
  17. Thoughts on my planned suspension upgrades

Depends on which ones you get. The Eibach 2R rears are linearly valved. I’ve got the Eibach Stage 2 kit (Pro-Truck-Coilover 2.0 front and Pro-Truck Reservoir Sport Shocks rear) on my Ranger and I’ve been pretty satisfied with them so far. These, plus the Icon rear leaf springs did a great job...
  18. A Suspension Facelift

In a somewhat similar situation (minus the towing) I went with Icon replacement leaf springs and the Eibach Stage 2R suspension kit.
  19. Blackeagle’s Build Thread

Switched to Icon multi rate rear leaf springs and the Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2R shocks (front coilovers and rear reservoirs). The Icons with the additional leaf did a good job bringing the rear back up to stock height with all the weight on the back. I was a bit surprised how much of the coil...
