It's not that random a thought; certainly many of us share it, and there's probably a good amount of truth to it, even if it'll never be officially confirmed. I can also see @GhostStrykre 's point about the impact that it might have on Ford's stock value.
I don't know that union contracts &...
I agree that it looks a little sketchy, but the driver's side airbag does go off, and I don't think that the stamp in the upper left is Cyrillic; it looks more Thai to me with a more "fluid" cursive-like script which is more typical of Arabic and Southeast Asian scripts than the blockier scripts...
The house was built sometime in the '60's, so I have no idea whether they had Code or Inspectors back then, but they do now. Mind you, the previous inspector was famous for doing "driveway inspections", so when we had to replace the furnace last year, the new inspector found a few errors that...
It's bad enough when it's just a veranda roof that's propped up like that; this was actual living quarters that were being held up like that! God knows what they were thinking, but I'm guessing that when the house was first built they weren't real sticklers for building code in the area.
It makes you wonder why they still don't promote the Ranger more in N. Am. I get that the F-150 has been a best-seller for most (if not all) of everyone's life, but a full-size truck doesn't fit everyone's needs, budget or lifestyle.
He really did luck out with the weather; for most of the past week, it's been double-digits above freezing (think somewhere in the 50's), but from this weekend, we go back to double-digits below freezing (think low-10's).
Years ago we noticed that one of the pillars holding up an overhanging room in the house was starting to tilt. We looked into it to straighten it out, and discovered that the pillar was sitting on a pad that was barely bigger than the pillar at the bottom end, and wasn't actually attached to the...
As you may have gathered from some of my posts, I'm heavily involved in Scouts, and have had the pleasure over nearly a decade of sharing this experience with my daughter. I'm posting here today to ask for your support in a fundraiser for our Group.
Our Scout Group is running a maple syrup...
Looks great! I like that the panels open out to the side; that seems to be easier to work with than the Diamondback "front & back" approach, although I get why they do it that way, too.
Good luck with the repairs, Duke, and let me know if you need a second set of hands or a second truck to haul stuff...of course, maybe @subquark & Soupie want to take a vacation and explore some new dumps!
I googled as you suggested, and I'm still not clear how that works. From what I understood, there are basically three types: Ram Air Hoods, "Shaker" Hoods, and Cowls, with only the Cowls being rear-facing, and dependent on the windshield to create pressure to "bounce back" the air down the cowl...
Re: the AutoCraze snorkel, isn't that facing the wrong way? I don't know a whole lot about them, but my understanding was that snorkels are supposed to (in part) act as an air intake, but could theirs do that when the opening is facing towards the rear? Was that more cosmetic than functional?
On the plus side, he definitely won't have any issues with his approach and departure angles... you know, assuming that his idea of "off-road" isn't the bump stops at the local parking lot.
