Welcome back Dave, big sigh, I thought it was me on drugs that caused the need for a break... :)
I do think you should know that in your absence, a guy has kind of taken your place in the damper market.
His sig line is CEO of Dizzy Dampers and as soon as the ports in Shanghai open up, a bunch...
I have been thinking more about this and I think if you took them out and ran over them a bunch on a gravel road, get a little dried mud on them, chip a corner or two, maybe leave them out in the weather for a few months, they might just impress...
Electrical problems can be a bear.
I always start with old Bill Ockham's approach to debug. Fully eliminate the bulb (done), then the plug as the possible source of your issue, before moving on.
I agree with the observations above, plus without the bright Red Maxtrax mounted to the side of your rack, how are they going to know you are a serious off-roader... :)
Not sure that's it, as I noticed it as I approached it in the handicapped space. For now, I am sticking with haunted. ;)
But, I think it does explain why I didn't need the cane on my way out! :)
i appreciate your good nature in all of this, but I actually wasn’t directing my observation regarding San Francisco at your setup.
As I posted in one of my posts, I keep a safe in the cab of my truck and that is where I store my EDC when I am going into any place that prohibits guns. I don’t...
I drove my Ranger today. Coming out of Costco, the light was just right and the hood looked really off, big overhang to the fender on the drivers side.
I got home and just had to check in the garage light (straight down light), perfectly aligned on both sides!
That is it for sure, no more...
As a long time resident of San Francisco (thankfully now, quite a while ago), I can attest to the accuracy of this statement. Criminals just don’t care about alarms at all, even the homeless person doing a smash and grab for loose change.
I agree on the road noise (which I think people kind of blow off, until they get an aggressive tire that howls, that will give anyond second thoughts about importance of noise levels).
I expect the should do fine in the ice, rain and snow, looking at the siping, but time will tell. ;)
I currently have the stock so-called "All Terrain" Hankooks. I can't say how I feel about them yet and won't know for sure until I have at least one winter under my belt with them and have a chance to hit a few of our more gnarly trails and forest roads.
Unless I find them to be terrible on...
I retired a long time ago now. When I first retired, we were living in San Francisco, so my monthly mileage dropped quite a bit (probably from about 1K a month, to more like 400 miles a month).
When we moved to Idaho, my monthly mileage popped back up as all the places we might go got farther...
My BIL got the latest variant (had not had Covid before and is an antivaxer, so. :()), he was very sick.
They gave him Paxlovid and he said he started feeling better in less than 12 hours. Fully recovered (from the symptoms) in 3 days.
Best of luck.
My notice says "remove and reinstall".
Perhaps the wait for parts is for the urethane adhesive.
I would expect Ford to be kind of particular about what adhesive/sealant, expiration date, etc.
