I bought 2 key blanks on ebay and had one cut at the ACE hardware. It opens the door and will turn the ignition to unlock for the steering wheel for towing but won't allow it to start unless programed.
I retired at 66 and 5 months. Full Social Secuity. Been 1 year and the thought of working again is repulsive. Glad we paid attention to our investments and crimped not getting all the "stuff" we wanted but didn't need so we can live easily now. Good Luck and welcome to the retired club. What...
The dealer had to drop the tank for a pressure sensor on my truck. It took several hrs on a lift to take it out and put it back together. I would probably back up on some ramps with the back wheels and go from there.
2019's transmissions suck. I bought a 2019 with 28,000 miles in Jan 2024. The blend doors for the heater/air has issues. It will go bad and not switch, not if, but when. The transmissions have had issues. Again, not if, but when. Mine at 31,000 had to been completely rebuilt and it is starting...
I have weather tech in my Ranger and the rear mat kept curling at the edges so bad that I cut the edges off. I have had Smart liner in my CRV, my old Frontier, both Tacoma's and the Accord. They always fit awesome and never curl.
So that leads to another question, I just got my Ranger ready to tow. Got the oil changed and I asked the dealer if the odometer still rolls while I'm towing? I will be doing g a 4k trip and he said in tow mode it doesn't accumulate miles. Is that true?
You're correct in that assumption. I worked in the auto industry as a parts supplier for the big 3 for 6 years (2014-2020) as an engineer. The whole auto industry is all about the almighty dollar, one company paid 8 million for a new corrosion resistant design and when we told them what it...
My 2019 looked the same way this spring,
My 2019 trim looked the same way this spring, the sun had bleached the hell out of it. I tried cleaning it, used 303 on it, black back and none made it look much better for very long. So to fix it I taped the door paint, the rubber on the top of the trim...
I got a used 2019 in Jan this year and have had issues from day one. I'd go with the 22, again look around and see what's out there. I use the CARFAX website and put like a 200 mile radius. You can put in the search criteria like year, color, trim level etc..
So you got me intrigued, according to my research, K&N bought out AEM last year, K&N didn't stop making the AEM'S at all. The K&N filters are made in plants in Texas, China, Neatherlands or England. The AEM is made in the USA. I watched a YouTube video test between the K&N, AEM and stock...
I've usually felt a difference in performance (or a perceived difference) and in my Tacoma and Frontier V-6's I got maybe a .5 mpg gain in city and 1 mpg on the highway. Just wondering if a turbo engine will respond accordingly (my first turbo anything)
Thanks
I've had K&N filters on most of my vehicles and they seem to help to a degree... I was thinking about getting one for my Ranger but was wondering if anyone's bought one and has it increased the mileage at all?
I just bought a 2019 with 29,000 miles in January 2024. The dealer has a 30 day return policy, I tried to turn it back to them but they all but kissed my ass for me to keep it. If it wasn't for the ability to flat tow this truck behind the rv I would dumped it the 2nd month I owned it. "Quality...
Yup, unplugged mine and never had an issue again. When you come to a stop the little auto stop Indictator on the dash will illuminate but doesn't stop the engine. Plug it back in with the engine off and it works like factory again.
I have a 2019 xlt and to disable the stop start function there is a quick disconnect cable on the negative side of the battery, unplug it and away goes the annoying start stop.
This is my first ford in nearly 30 years and it will be my last. I've had pinto's, escorts, LTD's, a F150 before and they were fine. In my opinion Ford has done the corporate blind eye to issues over profits. Although I'm 67 there will never be another ford in my household.
