  1. Checkup

I'm not interested in having inspections done. I look things over regularly myself, and don't need them trying to sell me extras. I have the fluids changed on schedule (tranny, transfer, diffs, coolant, brakes) and have the filters changed on schedule, the rest is reactive to warning signs I...
  2. $300 for 4 tires?!

They look okay, but I'd guess well over 10K miles. As well, "E" rated tires can be sketchy when balancing and may need re-balance periodically, but even if half worn, $300 is a decent price. If you are going to do used tires, it's well worth it to buy a tread depth gauge (Amazon, under $10)...
  3. Signing off for a few days

And I was coming here this morning to ask where Bill is and what's taking so long, lol. Congrats, and hope your recovery goes as well as the surgery!
  4. 22 Ranger Flunks Seat Belt Test

That's great, thank you. I'm not sure how I missed it.
  5. 22 Ranger Flunks Seat Belt Test

? You can disable it in the Ranger? Details please.
  6. 22 Ranger Flunks Seat Belt Test

One feature I really miss from my F150, is the ability to turn the seat belt warnings off. I normally wear mine, but not always and the dinging is annoying.
  7. Signing off for a few days

Because we're all a bunch of animals! ;)
  8. Signing off for a few days

Good luck Bill. I wouldn't be too worried, I know 3 guys who had hips replaced and back on their feet very quickly. Quick recovery for all.
  9. Ranger Rally?

At Doc's house, not near :)
  10. I'm gonna need this motor... in a Ranger.

I think the 2023 Corvette starts at $106,649. I bet they never expected to come in $2500 cheaper than an F150.
  11. Ford Rattler package

Who do I contact at Ford for my commission cheque? Mall Crawlers be like "I can save money off an FX4 and get a stupid name sticker? SIGN ME UP!!!!".
  12. Mudding/driving through flooded areas

I've been in mud/water touching the Ford emblem in the grill, and the passenger side floor was flooded. The passenger side was in deeper, the driver's side water stayed below the door sill, even with the door open no water came in. I accredited the flood to the door seal, but since I've been...
  13. Lots of Ranger sightings in Oshawa

Yes, I wanted to say moving into Featherstone park is like living in downtown Toronto with neighbours on top of you, but didn't want to offend, lol. I'm on Lakeshore near Selkirk Park, but not on the water side. I have deeded access to the lake directly across from my house, but I don't have a...
  14. Lots of Ranger sightings in Oshawa

My first cottage was very close to Featherstone. It's what motivated me to move out of Hamilton and live out here. She wants to live in the park, or a cottage in the area?
  15. Lots of Ranger sightings in Oshawa

I have a Warn Ascent bumper.
  16. Lots of Ranger sightings in Oshawa

Nope not me, I'm way down south near Port Dover.
  17. Pet Peeves

The same reason you have 14 golf clubs in the bag, but don't use them all on every hole. ;) Different transmission modes, vehicle loads, and driving conditions require different power distribution. It will use the most effective gear to meet the programmed response to the situation. The...
  18. Window Deflectors

I don't think @Tracy Bowman, @OrangeStreak or even @AzScorpion take 4 parking spots. Time to get a new name on the parking trophy ! ;)
  19. BMW RAPING DRIVERS $18/mo for heated seats

The thread title is misleading, you can't rape the willing. Most BMW drivers have it for perceived status, and paying an extra $18/month demonstrates they have money to burn = more status, lol.
  20. Stolen taillight - more expensive than you might think

Or just use a smaller flat head bit. it works great on security-phillips and ecurity-torx in low torque trim applications.
