  1. New FordPass app just sux, literally worthless to actually use.

Y'all care a lot more about the app than I do. I use my keyfob for remote-start, my manual is in the glovebox, and I log all my service records on Car Care app (Carfax). The app has a few useful functions for me and they are all still there front and center. UI designers have to update things...
  2. The PIC whore club! Come on in!

I just recently started getting into 35mm Film photography. Here are 2 from my first roll that had Rudolph in the frame.
  3. this time it is the transmission

Sarcasm incoming. The only way to live in peace with this transmission is to state "It's a truck, not a sedan" 3x times fast when you start it and never, ever, think about the shifting strategy at all. They call it a strategy so that makes it seem intentional. To me it feels intentionally drunk...
  4. In need of running boards

Also replying to old thread because what the heck. I picked up some factory running boards off FB marketplace because I thought all the aftermarket ones just look hideous or cost $1000+. Got them for $100. Might look into junkyards as well. The Rangers are probably starting to show up in them now.
  5. 2.7L added to the 'Build and Price'

I think the 2.3L in the 5g is the smoothest 4CYL I've ever felt, and I've driven a lot of other 4CYL car. It's amazing. Feels like a much more refined engine. I would hope the 6cyl would feel even better, but I don't know how it could. I thought I read somewhere that the 10R80 was good up to...
  6. Keypad stopped working

I have the 1-click unlock on for all doors. I love it. I've gotten so used to it I forget to click it 2x for other cars so everyone is just standing waiting for me to click it again while I hop in in ignorant bliss haha.
  7. Keypad stopped working

This has been my biggest hesitancy about ordering a keypad for my truck. I really wished it was hardwired. Stick on just feels like an afterthought especially when they hardwired one for the maverick.
  8. Kudos to Discount Tire

I was looking at that the other day. Probably too far to drive for just tires. Especially if I'm running flat
  9. HVAC 'clicking' normal or not?

At this point I am outside of the 3 yr warranty and don't have any extended plan so I will have to tackle this myself if it ever does fail catastrophically. I am glad they are taking care of it for you though!
  10. HVAC 'clicking' normal or not?

My late 2020 (December I think?) build heater box clicks like my ankles when it is a cold morning. Probably similar issue to yours, but has been going on for more than a year. Stops after a couple of minutes.
  11. The Survey

I once filled out the survey for a hotel room my younger brother and I stayed at while on a road trip. I gave it something like 4 stars. It was fine, clean, but nothing special. You know... a cheap hotel room. My dad (room booked under his name) received a frantic email from the hostess asking...
  12. Kudos to Discount Tire

I grew up with my dad driving across town to go to Discount until a small tire shop opened up right outside our neighborhood. We knew the owners and they took care of us. When I moved to the St Pete area, I looked for a discount tire only to find they basically don't exist down here. Weird. Had...
  13. How much does your tonneau cover leak?

I got the cheapest Truxedo and the only noticeable water intrusion is in the driver's side, front where the seal never fully expanded after unrolling it. A little bit of water sometimes comes in there on a hard rain or the 6th month carwash routine, but really nothing to care about. Some gets in...
  14. Cybertruck

I am not a fan of the look. It is unique and eye catching for sure. I much prefer the Rivian's design if we are talking about EV trucks. I do not like the rear bed shape with the sloping tonneau cover. I can't imagine it's easy reaching over the bed sides. I've watched a lot of reviews and am...
  15. 5g vs. 6g comparison

Yup, I like being able to see in front of me. And also just being able to get under the hood without needing a step stool. I'm 6'3", but my neighbor's stock Sierra 2500 hood is almost at my shoulder level. Absurd.
  16. Getting rid of the truck symbol?

I'm always low on washer fluid it seems.
  17. Oil Change: is slight forward or backwards slope better?

I remove the driver's side front tire so it's always jacked up at the front.
  18. 10R80 paranoia (Forum caused)

True, but all transmissions eventually die. Will mine die tomorrow? Probably not. Will it die before I sell the truck? Probably. Will it be the only thing I have to replace before I'm finished with this truck? Definitely not. I've put 32k miles in 3 years. Hoping for another 168k miles out of...
  19. Lowering the Rear

I would love if the bed was 2 inches lower, but alas, it seems like the market has spoken and it wants taller stock trucks. I always laugh at those tacomas on tiny tires, but man they sure are easy to put stuff in the bed and get it out
  20. I'll keep mine

Respectfully... And no, this isn't an edited picture. It just looks that good when the sun hits it.
