Funny you mention fuel rail pressure sensor. They, the dealership, found mine to be faulting and fouling out o2 sensors. Replacing both sensors tomorrow and we shall see.
Well I replace my DPFE sensor and it fixed my problem for 100 miles. Now we are back to bucking and surging. Had a code for random misfire and misfire at startup. Thing ran like it had a cam in it, shaking all over. Not sure where to go from here. No other codes to speak of.
So all of this ties in before the leaf spring.
I believe the o2 sensor was low voltage. It has NOT come back on since changing the sensor 30 miles and one driving cycle. The tech said it will come back on though as he cleared the codes. I'm not sure if the livernois scanner sees the data quick...
For the fuel trims does the truck need to be warmed to operating temperature? If not, I can grab it now.
For the o2 sensor, should they be showing voltage in a scanner?
Granted I am doing all this from my Livernois tuner so I am limited on what I see. Unless if course livernois turns the o2...
Nope, it's always at 0 voltage. Drove 30 miles yesterday datalogging and it went from 0 to 0.030 and back and forth.
I'll pull the coil from one and swap it to 3 and such. See if that fixes it.
Lately this truck has been something else to me. 49k
Just got it back from the dealer for leaf spring replacement.
Now it's throwing a misfire at startup and cylinder 3 misfire. Just replaced all the plugs ( motorcraft) not 100 miles ago. Not sure where to go.
Checked the fan harness and I'm...
Hey all,
I am stuck on this code. I replaced the purge valve under the truck thinking it was a bad valve. Any other suggestions?
50k on it.
I also have a CEL for a 02 sensor bank one, which by scanning shows no voltage so I'm guessing a bad sensor.
Truck also has some missing too. Threw the...
Put my 91 tune in. Runs amazing, just how the truck should have came from the factory.
Also, if any of your wives have a explorer at, get their tune too. Made my wife's car a rocket.
