I gotta look into this software update. I took my truck in first a few non transmission services but the dealer never mentioned anything about a software update. Wonder if that's something they do automatically...
Just curious, Is this the somewhat rough shift from 1 to 3? Usually when I first start up and I go the first shift from 1 to 3 is a little rough. I wouldnt say its bad, but is it normal?
I'd be interested to see you do a chnage and test at 5K miles. Im doing mine at 5k and am waiting on a test result, but would be cool to see the same engine with changes at 5k and 10k.
Just curious to those who have had transmission failures.
What maintenance schedules have you done? Not trying to pin blame but trying to see if changing filter/ fluids earlier will help. Anyone who had a transmission failure have the PPE pans installed?
Just changed my TC fluid. I needed to put in about 1.4 quarts to fill up but manual says it should be around .7!?
Anyone else notice this? Can you "overfill" the TC? I just filled it until it came out the fill plug. Tourqed down the old plugs with nothing on them.
I'm 40k miles, don't...
Replacing the damper cable on the glove box is a bit of a pain. My hands looked all scratched up at the end. Im sure someone has a better way to replace it.
For whats its worth, im using these service interval reccomendations as my guide. May seem a bit excessive but based off experience from...
I'm at the point where I want to change my rear diff fluid, maybe the trasnfer case adn front too.
When placing the plugs back in do any of you apply any sealant or just thighten the same plaug down?
Hate to take us too far off topic, but since we're talking about issues that may never come up, has anyone seen issues with the head gasket on the 2019 engine blocks? I heard because of the way the block is drilled there could be an issue with 2019 2.3L head gaskets
I guess you're right, although I have heard ecoboost engines had an issue for some models.
I swear I read somewhere a walnut valve cleaning was a regular maintenance item. I may have seen it at a dealership.
Woah. I put a sweater back there on a recent trip and felt like my HVAC took a poop. Would have NEVER made that connection. I guess I won't put anything there after all. Thanks!
Anyone know if a quart of oil will fit behind the rear seat in that open gap?
I want to put one there but don't want to slam the seat shut and pop an oil bottle back there if it won't fit....
I feel like I have noticed this too. I bought mine used at 35k miles. I'm at 38k so I'm going to have the trans fluid and filter changed soon to see if that helps.
To those replacing pads and rotors, are you going OEM?
Anyone have better long term durability with aftermarket? I'm thinking about getting ceramic pads
Good news!
I went for a drive today and scanned the truck and the permamanet code is gone, no more codes.
Truck seemed to drive fine although I may want to replace that EGR valve like people suggest.
FordPass cleared after about an hour after I drove.
