I think Farley knows this and this is why he's fixated on his "$30,000 truck". Problem for Farley is the reality of a $30,000 truck is a Slate. And I don't think he has something that spartan in mind.

The dealership markups aren't doing them any favors either. I know my local Las Vegas dealerships will make fast work of those "Below $40k" vehicles.

@Grumpaw - yeah I've had the thought that if this is to be a $30,000 truck it's going to need to have a $27,000-$28,000 sticker. Farley calls it a $30,000 truck but I've noticed the rest of the executives and engineers quoted call it an "around $30,000 truck." So yeah, $40,0000.
