I have a Livernois tune.. I asked them to send me a different shift file. I like the tow tune shift pattern but not the engine braking. They sent me a file that has the tow file without the engine braking for reg drive mode. Also has raised part throttle shift points.
With the recent epa law changes? A dp with a cat isn't the same a replacement oem cat converter. It's illegal to even tamper with oem cats now. Aftermarket dp's are usually 200/300 cell. Not even compatible in the epa's eyes to oem cat converters. Not sure where you're hearing companies still...
Who? Livernois won't touch any downpipes... Ford performance obviously not either. Which "big" company's are you referring too? It's ILLEGAL now to do anything with emission altering equipment. Including catted downpipes.
Op so what is your nozzle setup? I've been told port is the only way to go. Our intake manifold isn't the greatest design and reg nozzles around the throttle body would just cause pooling in Cyl 1 ?
Really? I've seen quite a few people post on fb their nator died barely even going through any water. So it's obviously a issue. Unless the 2021+ have a different alternator. Obviously it will vary by truck because some people's are lifted higher than others either way.
Yeah I had one on my 16' Frontier. But they show pics of it on the Ranger hitting water holes! Lol. Winter time sucks with them though. I bought a cyclonic head for mine. But still wound up putting a cover over it when it sat. Because snow always got into everywhere. ?
Not to be a Debby downer, but most people that hit water with the 2.3 ranger fry out their alternator. It's pretty well known. So why have a snorkel if you can't even get the Alternator wet? ?
Does anyone have a water/methanol setup? I'm really interested in putting one on, it def helps to cool air Temps and acts like a higher octane for sure. My Speed3 & Mk7 gti ran so much stronger with it. Just curious if anyone has it on there Ranger yet.
