A mechanic recently told me that that gears two and four are skipped in normal driving. It's only with more aggressive acceleration that the transmission uses all the gears.
For a 4cyl engine I expected less but got so much more. It has has twin turbochargers and powers through a ten speed transmission. It jumps! I enjoy this truck more than anything else I’ve owned in my 76-year life. I do have a minor regret; I traded in a ‘17 Ford Edge that was a good car but I...
Love my 22 Ranger. HATE the climate controls! I had the same climate controls on my ‘17 Edge I traded in with the hope that I would not have to deal with those poorly designed climate controls only to discover to my dismay that I still have to deal with the worst climate controls on modern...
Thanks for everyones input. I decided to go with mounting a receiver. Mostly because the tongue weight limitation on the step bumper ball is 350 lbs and I didn't want to have to always be concerned about that. Another reason I did not do the step bumper ball was the attached picture from another...
Just saw this from Ford thanks to a link from Elmosaurus above. It says the Rear Step Bumper can have a max trailer capacity of 3500 and a tongue weight of 350. Compare that to the Hitch Receiver of 7500/750. If I use the step bumper hitch, I don't think I would exceed 3500/350 but still have to...
My 825 motorcycle plus the weight of the motorcycle trailer from U-Haul is likely the heaviest I'll tow, but you make a good point about the trailer being more level.
I just took delivery of a 2022 Ford Ranger Lariat and it appears to have everything I need to tow with except for the 2" ball.
There's a hole in the rear bumper where I can take out the plug and put in a towing ball.
Under the bumper is the needed 4-pin electrical connection and the loops (see...
The truck the OP linked to was very basic. Note the cheap aluminum wheels. A 2019 at 25k miles for $42K? Wow. So, do what I did and get an easy job as a shuttle driver at a Ford dealer. That's what I did, and, last week I bought a 2022 Ranger SuperCrew Lariat with Sport wheels, premium sound...
My 'confidence' that nothing is wrong has been shattered!
I had my wife sitting in the passenger seat while the truck was running on remote start. I pressed the Start button and, again, only the driver's seat bars lit. The passenger seat had been warming, but no level bars showed. Now, I wonder...
I think you just answered my question. I'm confident now that nothing is wrong. As you say, someone has to be in the right seat for the seat heating to stay on. As another poster pointed out, my right seat is indeed heating during remote start/run, but now I see that it goes off when the Start...
Thank you. I'm getting the same result; the passenger seat IS heating while the truck was remotely started, but there's no heating level displayed when the Start button is pressed to initialize the system for driving.
I found this post elsewhere in this group and it sounds like what I need: "Today my local dealer reflashed the FCIM with the latest software. For the first time since the vehicle was new, the climate control works as advertised/designed during a remote start event. Very pleased."
I can't say for sure either, but on the first freezing morning after buying the vehicle just over a week ago, I seem to recall that both seats were warming after I got into the truck and energized the system after a remote start.
