They don't cover the Trans pan or the transfer case or even the oil pan very well.
RCI also doesn't make sliders for the Ranger yet, that I can find. You pimpin a Bronco or something?
You had a dealership that would fix it but you keep taking it elsewhere because you don't like the answers you're getting with regard to how long it's going to take.
Try asking for a loaner or ask your insurance about rental coverage but you aren't getting the runaround, YOU are doing the...
Update 7/16
Picked it up today, confirmed by the transmission Jedi, it needs a replacement ? covered under warranty. Parts being ordered. They're backlogged by a good bit so they're releasing the Yeti back to me since it's still drivable.
They're going to ring me when they've got everything...
Yes, there's a spot on the Fox website to fill out a form to return them for a rebuild. I want to say it was around $125/shock so figure $500ish for the complete set or more plus shipping and the truck will obviously be sitting unless you have a set of takeoffs to switch to in the interim.
What else is in the rear diff besides the gear set? We talking hardware that holds tension on the ring and pinion and what not that's being replaced?
If that went bad how's the gear set still okay? ?
Depreciation is crazy. Mine is only six months old and it's worth like $11k less than MSRP already and $5kish less than what we paid before taxes and all the closing fees and crap got tacked on.
It loses almost $1k/month ?
Looks more like scoring to me, again I ain't a mechanic. There's plenty of blow by around rings, that's a lesser concern. No signs of a crack in the cylinder wall right?
Wait for some folks with more knowledge on the subject to chime in on this. Maybe the EGR is the culprit.
Cracked cylinder, I know some guys have had leaking EGR systems but I don't know if that's in a position to leak into the area where it could mix with the oil or not
Not a mechanic, definitely tag in @airline tech
Nice truck, look into the ESP warranties from Granger, they offer them at like $50 over dealer price.
There's a few gremlins lurking in these and a little extra security is worth having just in case. It'll be among the cheaper things you spend money on if you hang around here long enough ?
Pretty sure it'll disengage the trans, it's not going to climb past 110
Unless you're running a tune or you've removed the limit in Forscan or something
Have we any information about what's 'updated' about them besides the newer CDF drum? And maybe some different shifting logic? Did they go to different clutches or something? A different valve body? What's upgraded?
