  1. Advice on descending steep grades in low gear

Sport mode, as I said, made no mention of the selector because I wasn't suggesting it be used sir
  2. Advice on descending steep grades in low gear

Sport mode will not down shift on its own, try it. It only downshifts as you put your foot on the gas and drop the RPM range lower with a smaller gear on a downgrade. Don't take this to mean you have to manually downshift in Sport, you don't. My point is say you're coming down Pikes at 25mph...
  3. Too much load? Let me know!

If it's not already evident, people are asking because the Rangers brakes can handle about 3500lbs of tow load by themselves. If you're going to do the max tow load of 7000/7700 whatever it is the trailer needs it's own brakes and your truck needs a brake controller. Especially going up and...
  4. New Engine?

What he said, go to another dealer or even another auto shop you're well out of warranty unless you extended and get a second opinion They sound like they want money
  5. Too much load? Let me know!

The real question is do you have a brake controller for the trailer?
  6. Ford Performance diff cover

Levittown has them for about $187 This is on my list for fluid changes at 5k miles.
  7. Tansmission CDF Drum Issues: Does Ford use Updated Parts?

Anybody that thinks that's the end all to the 10R80 issues, there's at least 3 people in this thread that think the CDF is the source of their woes It may very well be, I'm not saying don't get it updated, especially if you can do it under warranty. Just saying don't skip home thinking that'll...
  8. Tansmission CDF Drum Issues: Does Ford use Updated Parts?

Hate to tell you but the CDF drum isn't necessarily going to immunize you from problems. My 23' Tremor has that drum from get go, it was built in May of 23' and it still shit the bed in under 4k miles. They're taking care of it under warranty but something else is going on besides the drum...
  9. Don’t want to get banned but…

Thieves have figured out how to steal them already like the F150s, beware
  10. Grille Removal?

  11. Not pleased

Not faulting your logic or anything my man.
  12. Not pleased

I remember seeing that story. I'm not paying them $100 to unthread a fitting and move it to a new trans. I'll do it myself. Already done it once.
  13. Not pleased

Can't hear it at all in park, has to be in drive, and under acceleration and load. Mine is more of a grind/whine not sure what to call it but I know how to describe it. Picture the noise a bearing makes that isn't properly lubricated... That. Apparently it's coming from my trans. Crazy part...
  14. Not pleased

??‍♂️ Mechanic says it's the torque converter making the noise I sure as hell ain't a mechanic
  15. How are the Tremor skids plates?

Good set of sliders run around a grand... RCI just started making them for Tacoma's and a few other models, figured that's what you were alluding to ??‍♂️ Then when I said RCI doesn't make SLIDERS for the Ranger you kept linking their skid packages, what was I to think ? RCI Rock Sliders
  16. How are the Tremor skids plates?

You keep linking the same thing. In off road verbage sliders refer to rock sliders, like a heavy duty running board that protects the rocker panels. Maybe you're thinking of something else?
  17. Not pleased

It's home for now awaiting its turn in the queue. I think you're correct. They sent me some video the tech made and he said it was failing 'electronically' and due to the time in service he wasn't allowed to fix or change out just the electronics, so they were ordering an entire new Trans Is...
  18. How are the Tremor skids plates?

Ain't any sliders at that link boss
