I saw my truck's twin the other night except it was an FX2 instead of FX4. It would have been cool but, I wasn't driving my truck as she is parked pending the front differential ever showing up for my warranty/gratis repair...
Update 1/10- The Parts Department of Secrets
No contact from the dealer regarding my repair. However I called the other dealer on the other side of town. I talked with their part's department and confirmed with them that the diff is indeed backordered for my truck. They were not able to get a...
I got my seatbelt recall done no problem. They just check the anchoring and you are good to go.
As for the headrests. Well, I got no ETA on that part. Then again, I can't get them to get me an ETA on an in stock part for something that they probably broke...
Behold! My conversation. I'm not off my rocker am I? I think I might be done with these guys. There is another dealer in the area and I'm sure they'd be happy to fix my vehicle in a timely manner.
Update 1/7- Raiders of the Lost Diff
Dealership is not returning my calls. ? I talked with another dealer who confirmed that the national depot has a good amount of diffs in stock and they are NOT on backorder.
I did get a short text conversation going with the dealer who dodged my questions...
Update 1/6- the Fordening
Service manager called me this AM after I didn't catch him in person last night when I visited the dealership again again.
He is escalating the case to Ford and putting out a request to source the part from any dealer who might happen to have one in stock. He is going...
From what the write up said it was "coming from the front pinion area." The housing is supposedly damaged as well. I was told the diff comes as a complete unit.
Not sure the if the pinion is out whack and it is possibly grinding on the ring gear or housing/bearings.
Update 1/5 #2 Electric Boogaloo
Tried calling the part's department at the dealer to circumvent the service department and magically got connected to the service department.
So the word is the differential is backordered. No ETA. Truck sounds like a cement mixer. I'm waiting for their service...
Update 1/4-1/5
No one called me back so I drove to the dealer in person. The service advisor that was helping me has been out for a week sick. And no one has been following up on his jobs...?
I talked with the service manager and he said that if the part was coming out of Sacramento they should...
On the MBRP systems the exhaust splits from 3" to dual 2.5" just before the spare tire. But yeah, 4" on 2.5" is not that big of jump. I had 4.5" or something on my Mustang GT off of 2.5" axle backs. They were double wall resonated tips though.
Update 1/3/2022:
Called the dealer several times today and left messages. Emailed. Texted. No return calls or contact from them. I'm giving them until 10am tomorrow before I roll up in person going "WTF!?!"
The main reason I own the Ranger now over the pictured Subaru.
Native Watercraft Slayer 10. I spend way too much money on fishing gear and never enough time on the water.
Oil is cheap. Engines are not. Oil does break down and pick up various contaminants over time. Moisture would be my biggest worry with low miles like that. Personally I would get some Motorcraft Synth-blend or whatever the OE stuff is and go with that on a 1 year interval. ~$40 a year worth the...
The level of torque the 2.3T can deliver on demand is quite impressive. Combine that with almost no weight on the rear tires and she'll spin them until next Tuesday. The only vehicle I had that was this spin happy as my 2005 Mustang GT. That car was an axe murderer in the rain. Traction control...
That suddenly makes sense to me. I took a turn the other day and I heard a horrendous sound. Now I know where I have heard it before, when I ran the ABS purge on ForScan. It did seem to be a little sensitive because I was not slipping or spinning tires. It was a bit of an incline so the maybe...
