At around 65k I sprayed amsoil power foam into my intake. I didn't notice a difference. I didn't buy the power foam for this particular job, I just keep it in the garage for whenever I need it. I think crc makes a DI cleaner.
I have 101k on my truck. It's been tuned since it hit 1k. I change my...
If you have the money and no extra burdens are put on you.. Get you a new ranger.
My dad is in his 70s. He loves the thrill of making a deal and getting a new car. So that's what he has been doing.. Well he has always done it, here lately it's a bit excessive but it's his money.
I like keeping...
Update... I hit 100k yesterday while towing my 15yo son's new to him, that he saved up and paid for, zero turn lawnmower. Not a heavy load but it was the first time I've towed with it.
Splash shield is pretty simple to remove and my filter wrench fits right in. No oil spilling on the frame, drains right into my container and no minor annoyances.
You do what makes you happy but I'll still say many of you make a big deal out of it.
Yeah I don't get it. Ford actually put a channel to catch the oil and not make a mess. I remove the flap, and seconds later I got my filter out. It's one of the easiest oil changes I've done.
Our 2021 honda pilot, the filter is directly above the frame. It gets oil every where if you don't...
I have had mine on for a few weeks now with the livernoise 93 tune. All the hiccups I have had , that i blamed on transmission quirkiness , are gone. When in traffic , if i slowed down , then sped up, it would hesitate. If I was accelerating, then let of the gas to slow down a bit, and then got...
Everyone has their own way of doing it but I've never seen anything that proves one works better then the other.
Last 4 new vehicles I kept factory fill in and changed the oil when it's called for.
Except for our 2006 civic, I changed the oil once a year@~12k. It was at 200k when I got hit...

I've been told there is a good chance I'll break the tabs on the headlights while removing the screws from the stock intercooler. Are the screws that tight? Anything I can do to avoid this?
What are my options if the tabs do break?
With my son, last week, I installed gfb dv+ and a mprb side exit exhaust.
But the biggest improvement was from the oil change I just got done with. I swear it's faster... I doublely swear.
I changed mine at ~60k and didn't notice any difference in power or fuel mileage.
Yes they are cheap and easy to replace. I just see no benefit in doing it early, in my case, I don't tow/haul or go off roading.
I didn't even think about that. I think I'll run the hose through it one more time.
He traded it in for an Explorer so I guess it's the dealers problem now.
I picked up a used mountune intercooler this past weekend. Looked it over and didn't see any damages. It honestly looks pretty new. I get home, get it out the truck and oil pours out the hot side. Is this something I should be concerned with?
I poured simple green in it, shook it around and...
Yeah, trust me, I get it. If only he was around when I was 15yo when I spent a few hours cutting the cat off my 92 firebird with a little hand saw. Then gutting the insides out with a jack handle and mallet. I'm pretty sure me and my friend inhaled a good bit of that crap.lol...didn't matter...
