I think that sounds like a good strategy for a trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Where I live all the roads are flat and straight. A spirited drive on the BRP sounds great to me. I'd be in S mode mostly, and I can see tow mode helping with downhill/braking needs. Locking out gears would help if...
Lifelong Ford guy. Literally. Even in the womb. Dad and Mom both worked at Ford, drove Fords, and raced Fords. I needed something new as my old 2005 F150 was begging to be put out to pasture. I wanted something smaller but still needed a pickup, so I ordered my Ranger. Didn't consider anything...
I get "the look" from my wife. Like after I wash my truck, and I plop a lawn chair next to it and stare, and move around to stare from different angles. Or when I park it and look back at it. She thinks I'm in love. ❤
As soon as you get your truck, I'd check the tire pressure, fuel tank level and windshield wiper fluid reservoir level. (unless of course your dealership actually does their job and checks these for you) It seems like most owners have had their tire pressure way too high (for shipping?) and...
"some random people" No, you didn't. Granted, the internet is filled with them, but Mr. Schilke has more Ranger knowledge and expertise than every member on this forum combined. By far. Nothing random about his advice.
That is correct, although I've seen some put access hatches on their platforms. To be honest, I haven't needed to access the storage bins once since installing the platform, so no biggy for me.
My 100+ lb Bernese Mountain dog fits in the back of my Supercab, but....I did remove the back seat bottoms, and make a platform that covers the entire back area.
You really seem to like knocking the "roll bars" and their functionality, or lack thereof. What's wrong with just liking they way they look? It's really no different than putting a tire track down your hood. Just sayin'.
Came out to go to Subway for lunch and found an XL parked next to me, and a F150 Raptor next to him:
The Raptor is the "37" version, which I figured was an "M" plate company vehicle, but it had a civilian license plate, so it is privately owned (lucky sob):
It was a beast.
I've been asking myself this same question. I have the "ROW Raptor" version. Whenever I see the Tremor version, I think they look a little lighter gray in color. I parked next to one the other day to compare, but couldn't tell if they were different:
Either way, there isn't much difference, and...
Sorry, no link. I had it put on the truck before picking it up from the dealership when I ordered it. It probably came from Ford or Ford Performance.
Edit: Here is the one I got.
I thought I might like black lug nuts on my truck, and wanted to get rid of the 2 piece nuts that come from the factory, so I bought some and put them on last night. Now that I have them on, I'm not so sure I like them as much as the chrome ones.
I'll give them a few days, but will probably go...
