** Alert: personal opinions below, I have no data to back this up beyond my personal experience of about 2 bottles Menzerna Power Lock and maybe 6 bottles in total of Wolfgang v2.0 and v3.0 sealent **
Menzerna power lock sealent is indeed nice stuff. Superb durability (10/10), nice shine...
Going to have to agree with the Menzerna line. I've used hundreds of different polishing compounds over the decades and am constantly amazed at their polishes. Plus they are constantly working on updates to their products unlike some others (Looking at you, Mothers 20+ year old pro line, 3M...
Will you be using their High Zinc oils?
I believe that only comes in their racing lines, but as nobody here seems to want to mention cool-down intervals of the turbo shaft or bearings, it's worth pointing out that, in general, turbocharged applications will want that zinc additive. The Amsoil...
For the money, I don't think you can beat the Porter Cable 7424xp. I've used these, RUPES, several of the Griots generations and direct drive in my life. The Porter Cable is a solid unit.
I started out learning detailing in High School and continue to run a boutique detail business for...
I was all for the sport package based on the brochure pics, but she wasn't having it..... She, obviously, won on that decision.
Full disclosure: Since it's her truck and she's paying for it 100% I couldn't very well argue, and now that she has it, it looks much better without the sport...
Turns out it's just other burners! I helped found a vehicle repair camp. We focus on anything internal combustion and also anything mobility related to help the disabled.
That being said, it turns out there are only about 3 repair camps out of the 750+ camps. So mostly people will get a tow...
Yea, Phil, you got to work on the new stuff! Better than the factory linkage from the Autolite 4100's that came standard on the 61-63 Ford big blocks. Sheesh, why there were 3 return springs and 5 rods to actuate the accelerator, plus another heat coil for the water-cooled carb spacer is...
Hellwig should contact the Lockpicking Lawyer about those padlocks. Yikes!
Some really nice work on the build, can't imagine how much money was sunk into design/fab/labor.
Ignoring all the suspension/running gear mods: We spent $400 at Rack N Road for a rack setup and can carry the same...
2006 Audi A6 and a 1991 Honda Civic Wagon 4wd.
I used the civic to haul a few FE 390 engines around to machine shops while building the engine that has now found it's way in my 1961 Thunderbird.
I would classify myself as the same. How are you testing your oils to determine "maximum life"? The concept of using a time-based metric to guide oil life is ridiculous unless you're restoring classic cars which may age out the oil.
On my performance car ('06 Mitsubishi Evo with substantial...
Will have to take your word for it. All my friends who dipped their car up here had problems over the dip's (reduced) lifetime. The installer was a guy who vinyl wraps and dips cars as his primary source of income, so maybe he was drastically worse than you? I dunno. Can't (and don't care...
It's a good thing you live in a very dry area. Plasti-dip looks fantastic for about a week up here in the PNW. The texture and inability to wash it adequately without using more friction causes dip to peel fairly fast, or be dull and lifeless. Which I guess is the point when your goal is to...
I'd like to point out one other factor that hasn't been brought up, a ball on top of the bumper is about 9' off the ground (not really, but it's ridiculously high for the size of truck the Ranger is), you're going to be exerting a ton of downward force in addition to the lateral force to tow...
Did you purchase that at Ford of Bellevue? I work a few blocks from there and they have had an identical truck to your new one out front for a week or so and suddenly it was gone!
We installed the Retrax Pro XR aluminum series tonneau cover and have absolutely zero problems with the tailgate not being able to fully shut and lock. Nor do we have any problems with water leakage. Fitting the cover on properly was the first step in ensuring full functionality.

Wojooo! Probably growing up in a nation with elevation variation from -5' to +10' above sea level has something to do with that!
There were definitely some certain-death drop-offs on that roadway. Okay, they were almost exclusively certain-death drops.
We do a bit of hiking or camping in interesting places. I play pro-am billiards and also like to do field repairs on basically anything internal combustion that happens to break down. Up to and including the occasional horse or mobile island.
Except for our truck, we've never seen another SCAB on the road OR at the Ford Dealer two blocks from work.
Full disclosure: We are in the greater Seattle area where tech industry rules the roost. Seeing 10-20 Tesla's per day is common place, the tech crowd is generally not big into trucks...
