EVs are pushing these companies to follow the silicon valley race-for-market-share model, and they are completely losing their minds.
Ford needs to get back to the basics of building things well and building them in North America. No need for hype and empty promises if you have a track record...
I love my 5G - wish they would have kept the styling, made it a little wider and shorter and upgraded interior. But I think the 6G might be growing on me a little. But that’s mainly because I think I could fix the front end to make it look better. A lift on a lower trim model would look pretty...
Thanks for the progress report. Non events are rarely reported and it skews the impression of how reliable these trucks usually are. In 18 months of ownership my truck has given me zero problems. My wife’s 2022 Lexus has been in the shop three times.
Is this the only application of wheel spacers that makes sense from a geometry standpoint? Narrower-than-stock tires? Seems like narrow tires brings scrub radius in, and spacers would correct it. Ran across this article bashing wheel spacers:
Our Suspension Engineer Talks About The Effects Of...
Yes, a lot of these complaints don't deserve mention. I've never taken my truck in for warranty repair (12K miles). My wife's previous Toyota went in for a warranty repair, and her current Lexus could go in for an infotainment issue. Cars have a lot of parts and sometimes they fail.
wow the gladiator made the list of most comfortable trucks too. “Hey chatgpt write me a meaningless article about comfortable trucks and make it 5 paragraphs.”
This thing is awesome. Too bad it’s an EV. With current EV charging infrastructure (does Audi even have an infrastructure??), I just don’t see how these off road/adventure vehicles make any sense.
Now it all makes sense. Lift tires and front bumper transform this thing.
The red one looks good, too.

Here is the link. The one they sent is refurbished I think but it works fine.

EDIT: looks like they are sold out. There are others out there for cheap, just can’t vouch for them. Here is one that’s $34 bucks. Buyer beware...
So last week I lost my keyfob. After looking everywhere, I decided that my wife's friend's kid stole it and probably ate it or sold it on the black market or something. So I ordered a replacement from an online website for $48. I assumed I would have to pay the dealer to program it. Well the fob...
I agree that the CG tremor is quite the piece of industrial art and I much prefer the styling of the 5G over the F100 look.
The interior of the 6g is much better though. From these pictures, the two trucks look pretty identical from the A pillars back. I wonder if someone could get a 5G front...
This is true - but the old forward control vehicles of the past don’t work today bc of crash regulations. Look at the redesign of the VW bus and the canoo truck and compare them to the classic Jeep FC and VW bus:
There still has to be quite a bit of wasted space up front for crumple zones...
I did read Phil’s post, and referenced it in my comment. And I think you are right, your 30 seconds has little to do with increased emissions. But the media don’t consider your 30 seconds. They consider 30 seconds over many millions of vehicles.
All I’m saying is that sometimes it’s not...
Well if Phil hadn’t chimed in I would have assumed that anyone that says it’s bad to let the truck warm up in the morning was just trying to do their part to limit emissions and feel good about themselves.
Kind of like how all the journalists say safety is strictly a factor of the cars design...
Yes based on digital pics this thing looks great. But I also thought that about the frontier until I saw them in person.
In real life, I think the Colorado is going to cheaper and bigger than you think.
Kind of like this...
