Went offroading last night. New 35s decided to claim another fender flare. So today I decide to do a “flare chop” and cut the whole flare section out of the fenders. I like the way it turned out and no more rubbing. Could maybe fit some 37s next time I buy tires!! Went back out offroading to the...
Yea I’d like to keep my fender liners. I pulled my aftermarket flares off and might try to make them work. Might try to figure out how to keep it from bottoming out so much.
just icon 2.5” ext travel coilovers with their tubular upper arms. I swapped the springs that come with them for 14” Eibach 700 pound springs. Adjusted the preload to get me sitting around 3.5” lift up front. The rear is deaver leaf springs with a bad 1” shackle. I trimmed the lower back part of...
Interested to see what you got going on for the +5 you’re designing. I’m digging down the rabbit hole and wanting to do the same with mine. Just sell me your coil overs and buy 8” ones lol ?
I have 285/70/17 LT tires on mine and daily at 30psi and rides fine to me. I’ve never driven my truck with any other tires tho and don’t know how the stock ones feel. There are some charts you can find online to see what psi tires are rated at up to max psi/weight. I would not see any reason to...
yea I don’t blame you. My Superduty I had had the led taillights and I know they were really expensive! You can’t tell too much this one is busted from afar but I’ll find one eventually
Yea normally if you’ve got recovery points like a shackle mount they are welded to the main frame attach point. In this case that attach point is very weak to be used in the fashion these bumpers are advertised. Tomorrow once I get back home this bumper will be coming off so I can better inspect...
I agree. The recovery that done this wasn’t a hard one and I definitely didn’t pull hard. Barely had any slack in the line and just bumped it to get the stuck tires out of the small hole they dug in. I could only imagine if I pulled harder that bumper wouldn’t be attached to the truck anymore...
I doubt they will make it right with me since I wasn’t the one that bought it. And their warranty is only for 1 year what I read on their website. I’m still going to bring it to their attention since they are semi local to me.
Nice!! Good luck and hope it turns out as you expect!! Looking forward to seeing it!! Just rock 2 winches lol!! For the price of the apex winch can’t beat it. It might pay off sometime with having one on each end of the truck!
Agreed no more recoveries for this bumper until I reenforce it with thicker/better brackets. Just sad they make it seem like you can use it for recovery
Thanks!! Well right now I can reach through the hole I cut out of the skid plate but it’s tight. Once I redo the skid I probably won’t be able to reach it so may have to work on that part
