This is due to how your vehicle communicates with Ford Pass. The catch is when you connect via usb for CarPlay, this service needs a bluetooth connection. CarPlay disables that bluetooth connection upon connection. Once that happens, the system throws this error.

You guys do know that a very large number of vehicles from all manufacturers sit 1/2” lower on the drivers side right? Your gas tank, battery etc are on that side. Of course it sits lower.

Took it on its first road trip. Drove from Detroit to Tampa to see some family. 18 straight hours and I was super impressed. Very comfortable, and considering the E range KO2 tires and level kit, I got good mileage. 22.8mpg with 87 octane. I was getting dead on 400 miles per tank.
