  1. PSA For you folks that are removing / modifying the crash bars to install bigger tires.....

I think everyone gets the potential negatives at this point. If I ever give any of you a ride I will make sure you sit in the back seat. For sure don’t ride in my wife’s Colorado. It doesn’t have crash bars. In fact I don’t think any mid size truck does other than the Ranger. So don’t ride in...
  2. PSA For you folks that are removing / modifying the crash bars to install bigger tires.....

Who cares? It is their truck that they paid for. They aren’t breaking the law. Seems they can do what they want. Let me try some weird made up stats and motivations. - 90% of people who install a tune aren’t racing these trucks. - 90% of people who get tow package aren’t towing - 90% of...
  3. Size Tires/Wheels for a 3.5 in lift

What is that plastic block meant to do? At first glance I assumed just to hold the felt in place but it is pretty heavy duty and the four bolts are loctited in.
  4. Turbo blow off valve

Definitely not necessary. I presume this is just for more noise?
  5. Check those Tremor Decals

Yep removed mine. I like the look better without the sticker.
  6. Toyo Open Country AT3 285/70/17 w/ level

You most definitely do not need a negative offset. Even a quarter inch spacer would push you out enough to make sure you have no rub on suspension. I went with aftermarket wheels and went to a +35 offset (stock is +55) and that gave me plenty of room. With any bumping out of the wheels though...
  7. Toyo Open Country AT3 285/70/17 w/ level

Yeah a small spacer should do it.
  8. Toyo Open Country AT3 285/70/17 w/ level

Didn’t post pictures at full lock. I would bet the rubbing is on the crash bars. I would also check your clearance on your suspension. It has to be pretty close with stock wheels. Either way the solutions are pretty easy. Move or replace/delete your crash bars and if any suspension rub add a...
  9. Boost gauges

The box looks to be a android auto box that will work without a phone and will display any app on the screen.
  10. Boost gauges

Anyone seen this? Could run Torque Pro on the main screen. Also seems pretty neat to get Carplay type functionality without needing a phone. The price is pretty steep though, so not something I think I would do, but might be a neat solution to get some OBD2 driven gauges on the main screen...
  11. Dustin From TX - My first truck

I might just add a second damper.
  12. detailed description for how to change out the alternator?

Yeah that was the video. Been a while since had seen it so didn’t remember that well. I guess he did part from the ground but rewatching looked like a lot of work reaching down from the top. Either way doesn’t look like fun.
  13. detailed description for how to change out the alternator?

I remember seeing some YouTube video months ago of a young guy changing his out from the top.
  14. Rock slider recommendations (2020 Lariat FX4)

Shrockworks on my Tremor. Have dropped off onto a rock onto them while off-road shortly after I installed and they did what they were designed to do. I am happy with my purchase.
  15. WindRock off road park killed my Ford Ranger...

Seems like swapping alternator out in the field would not be a fun project. Especially given where it is located. Not sure I would feel up to it with plenty of time at home in my garage.
  16. Loving my new Lariat Tremor & Modding it up already!

Looking great! Welcome to the forum$
  17. Biggest tires, no lift?

Ahh yes that makes more sense.
  18. Biggest tires, no lift?

Stock is +55. Won’t going more negative make the rubbing worse?
  19. Biggest tires, no lift?

Yeah that negative offset is a big change from stock and will definitely cause clearance issues.
