  1. Snowy Boston, love this Truck, but..

First 4wd i take it? Absolutely no to 4wd on dry pavement. Why would you want/need to anyway?
  2. Do you think they’ll bring back the “Splash” Ranger?

= an ever smaller bed. No thanks
  3. Why go for Roush CAI when other cheaper options exist?

yep. all Marketing hype and the biggest waste of $400 there is. That's damn near a tuner price and REAL power gains.
  4. $6,100 rebates on 2019 Model Year XLT trims through 1/2/2020

sounds like a great deal on a nice truck. Was remote start a deal breaker for you? With the Ford App, all Rangers are remote start. Do not need to pay extra for the remote start package. Much nicer than the key fob. I used to have to leave my desk, take a 3 min walk to get near...
  5. Roush Cold Air Intake

CAI on their own have been proven to be a waste of money. Real world, almost zero increase with hp or torqe. But do increase the crap gettin in your engine. Fo that money you can get a tune and see real power improvement. Even if 8 ft lb is real. I doubt it, but say itbis legit. Over...
  6. Is anyone else really affected by winter blend?

"Generally, the lower the RVP of a gas blend, the more it costs. For example, in winter you can blend butane, which is relatively plentiful and cheap, with gasoline. But butane, which has an RVP of 52 on its own, can't be used in summer, when it would immediately boil off as a gas. So "purer"...
  7. Is anyone else really affected by winter blend?

I went from 26.4 to 24.4 so far with winter mix. I went to 93 octane. Helps power some and hopefully MPG. Cheap gas sucks. Hate the winter mix
  8. Extra weight in the bed?

I live in the NE Ohio snowbelt. I am not adding weight to the truck. No need with 4wd and locker. Only time weight makes sense is with 2wd
  9. Dealer Oil Change Issue

    Consider it free rust protection.......
  10. Hankook tires, any good?

Hankook stopped making the ATM. Replaced with AT2. Not a ford issue. I would go with cooper discoverer at34s or falken wildpeaks.
  11. Spare tire larger??

Interesting. Guess i need to take a look at the spare tomorrow.
  12. No Driver’s side floor heat

Mine is a STX as well..... maybe the fancy dual zone (really?) contraption isn't better after all........
  13. Traction Control

Snow ice slick roads is exactly what it was designed for. Only turn it off when stuck. Or off roading amd having fun
  14. Pet Peeves

Yes. Really. Had the temp half way and had to take my coat off.
  15. No Driver’s side floor heat

This would mean EVERYONE has the same issue. This is not the case. I have zero issues with the flow or volume of air. That means it is not a design issue.
  16. Pet Peeves

Really? If anything the heat works too good. 23 degrees, and it was too hot with temp half way
  17. Opinion on stock Dynapro 18” including snow use

Well, i live in NE ohio snow belt. We get hammered with snow. For reference. And i am in a rural area that will not see a state plow truck for days.....a foot of snow on the roads is common. The Falkens are by far the best tire i have owned as far as snow performance is concerned. Its mot...
  18. Opinion on stock Dynapro 18” including snow use

If you are after a good snow tire, the duratacs are not a good choice. Much better tires for the snow are the Flaken wildpeak and cooper discoverer at3 4s. The duratrac is hard to beat for an off road tire, but not the best for snow.
  19. Transmission skips 2nd gear.

Working as designed. Many posts on this subject
