I assume that by paired, you mean a Bluetooth connection. I have not done that with my phone, because I didn’t want to have the truck take precedence over my hearing aid paring. Truck pairs with my wife’s phone but not mine intentionally. Mine has always worked great with my phone apps plugged...
Well, mine is a hard wired connection. My phone has never technically been added to the system except hard wire. I use Bluetooth hearing aids so I simply let calls come to my ears. If I want to use phone apps I just plug in. It has worked great for a year+. But this is a pain in the butt.
Within the last 2 weeks I have a new CarPlay issue. When I have CarPlay activated and in either Apple or Google Maps, changing the volume either on the radio or steering wheel the navigation volume changes, nothing will change the volume of whatever is playing on the radio? Used to be the...
I was in for something else in Milwaukee and mentioned the recall thinking that they would just check the connector and let me know if it was subject to the needed replacement. They told me that they had to cut the wires to check? As a result they told me to wait until they had the parts. That...
Used the front bar mount rack in my 2004 and then added the endgate blanket (both Thule). Both worked well and I love them. In the new Ranger I wanted a bed cover. Spent weeks trying to find a good folding cover that had a rail for a rack mount. Really not available yet. Some for retractable...
Just saw the recall notice today when I used Ford Pass to auto start the truck. Guess I will have to set up appointment with dealer. I knew this form was the place to go before doing that. Thanks everyone.
I totally agree that you want the entire surface covered. I did a little investigation when considering which way to go as the exact truck I wanted was at the dealer with the factory liner. In my research it appeared they sprayed the liner on the assembly line and had no interest in pulling the...
Well. My new black Ranger took a hit from tree sap. I had negotiated with the dealer on several add on features one of which was Auto Armor. So I thought how big a problem can this be. The sap came right off the door with their included paint cleaner but not so lucky with the spot on the hood...
I do like that tool as it does envision one of my uses. I was assuming (based on Jeeps) descriptions that a 45 degree angle would match the wheel well elevation and a piece of timber inserted into the slot in the aid of the box. Doesn’t convert the short bed into a hauling monster but I sure...
Hi. Absolutely love my Ranger. If I had a wish, I wish there was a way to position the tailgate at 45 degrees like the Gladiator or GM Twins to support long cargo in the bed/pitch materials forward. Anyone seen any aftermarket solutions for that? Thanks.
That seems to be a tailgate pad solution. Do the bikes stay put on the narrow pad, especially if two in the bed. I know they stay put well on the Thule pad. Thx. Larry
Don’t know that I need a damper, but I do wish we had a mechanism similar to the new Gladiator that would allow us to hang the tailgate at about a 45 degree open position to help support loads. Seems like a great concept.
Finally got my door opener programmed today. It was a.challenge and didn’t match exactly any of the instructions I had seen so thought I would post just in case they would be helpful for anyone. I thought it was likely an incomparable Genie door opener so finally I gave up and explained what I...
