Yeah one of the reasons I never pulled the trigger on the V6 ZR2’ poor mpgs haha. Just drove the Ranger from MT to Yuma and avg mpg was 27.2. I’m happy with that. Haha
Is it the V6 or the mini dirtymax??? The colorado ZR2 with a duramax was my first choice, I just couldnt find one. The ranger is fitting the bill so far tho. Congrats on the new whip!!!
Mine will be going in for new shocks soon as well. Im starting to see the reason everyone dumps the FX4 shocks asap. After 4300 miles they are getting spongy to say the least. I've never driven a vehicle that nose dives as much as this thing does under moderate braking. Feels like you drop...
They are manufactured by REMARK. They are pretty tame, good following in the Toyota world on the 4Runner and Tacomas. Pretty sure they use a mangnaflow muffler or knockoff magnaflow.
I use my Ranger to commute 66 miles each way. I live in the Flathead Valley of MT and commute to Eureka 5 days a week. Ranger does ok in the snow. I try to keep it in 2wd as much as I can but some days you just need to 4wd it. My impreza was awesome, added studded snowtires and it was a...
To each there own, I've had 5100's on 3 different vehicles and I think they leave alot to be desired. 6112's seem to be promising but I really like the Falcon Shocks. Have them on a work F150 and they are pretty amazing for a replacement shock and not full blown coilover.
Ford ranger lifts .com makes a 1" lift for the tremor which looks good. And will keep factory ride quality. Supreme suspension makes a 2" you can add to it as well. Which is the same as the readylift 2" kit but cheaper. Me personally I think the tremor is at a perfect stance. Its .8" higher...
I would save yourself some coin and just get a full vehicle wrap of any color of your choosing. Around me in MT it is around 3500 to 4000 depending a vehicle for a complete color change. Much cheaper than in the long run imho.
Admitingly the Ranger was my 2nd choice. I searched and searched and searched for a ZR2 with the 2.8l Duramax in Sand color. Only looked within 350 miles of my region and never could come up with one that was reasonable to buy or find one at all. After driving both I'm glad I went with the...
What region are you in?? Les Schwab house brand is very good. Have them on my wife's and daughter's car. They are studded which is legal here but you can get them without studs as well. They are the Federal Himalaya. They usually last 3 seasons here which are 8 months long, little loud but...
Truck only has 1800 miles on it. I have a 66mile commute one way to work so I rack up miles fast. Only have had the truck since Nov 17th. Still getting broke in and we are in winter fuel and extended idleing here in MT for warm ups. Hand calculated Im getting 21.6, computer says 22.7. I run...
My plan for a winter setup is Factory 16" steelies and 245/75r16 studded tires. Skinny tires work awesome in the snow and slush. Although the factory hankooks are doing ok, in MT you can really substitute skinny studded tires with the slush in the day and black ice in the bitter cold nights...
Hello all! Howdy from Montana. Finally picked up my Ranger from the dealer.
