That'll work. But it's best if it's done by hand. Tail light is plastic, you know. Use a needle nose vise grip to hold the Allen screw in place. Go the lefty loosie direction and round up the hex. Easy peezy
Have you ever stripped an Allen/hex head screw? Those things are difficult to get out when it's rounded. You need a special tool to get that out. It's less likely that the thief has one of those.
I'm glad the Ranger has it's own style. Blending parts from other vehicles doesn't look great at all.
On the other hand, turning the Bronco into a pickup using it's own styling cues doesn't look to bad.
