That is interesting! Thanks for sharing, but even the video's creator said, "When it was working, it actually was a wonderful engine." ? It also did NOT make it onto his "worst engines of all time" list (minute 5:32).
The Olds engine, which had some changes, was used in IMSA and Indy Racing...
Interesting topic. I agree with the others here that point out that since the Ranger sits below the F150 in price (and luxury), I am not sure it would make sense for Ford to make a Lincoln version of the Ranger. I, for one, liked the looks of the Blackwood, but I think that the high end F150s...
Agreed, but I think that I need at least a stoppable running board or actual drop steps since I sometimes have to transport my elderly mother and in-laws. The Tremor is too high for them to climb in without some kind of step.
A few updates:
1) I added steps to my Go Rhino RB10s. They look more like the factory steps, and the height seems spot on.
2) I bought a DeeZee 5' rubber bed mat from @Stage3Motorsports. Very nice product!
3) I switched out the puddle lights for Mallofusa LEDs. Wow, that was easy, and they make...
Thanks for the reply, Phil!
Ours was the base 2.3L Lima engine. We chalked it up to the fact that all 30K miles were in town, short trips. When we took the head off, there was a lot of carbon build up in the unaffected cylinders, more than we expected for the age and miles.
Since you are playing along, was my experience with the 83 Ranger just bad luck? My grandfather drove it for 6 years in-town only, but he was meticulous on the maintenance. The head gasket blew just under 30K miles. We put in a replacement, rebuilt engine from Fred Jones Ford, and less than 3K...
I turned 50 late last year, and since I bought my first car, a 66 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 convertible, at 15 after saving money working odd jobs (mowing yards, delivering papers, bagging groceries) as a kid, I learned to drive on that car along with both of my parents' cars. My dad had a 78 Chevy...
Ugh. I use a Mac and iPhone. I bought the OBDLink MX+ adapter already but have not downloaded the app. If I read this correctly, I am screwed.
Is this the only app on the market that will let you make configuration changes?
Did you try breaking the driver's window with a rock? Oh, wait, wrong Florida kayak thread.
Sorry. Had to. ;)
I am with the others. I would ignore it unless it happens again. Good luck!
It was "White Ford Truck Day" at the Home Depot, and that did not include the Home Depot rental trucks.

Looks like you got your answer, but I will add that I think you will be just fine. I recently towed the same trailer over 300 miles with my Tremor. The U-Haul location that inspected my trailer setup suggested the 2 inch drop hitch. Frankly I think it was not enough for the Tremor, but your...
If you have seen my posts on other threads, I was not a fan of the factory Tremor rails. The positioning of the steps seemed fine for climbing in, but they were awkward to use getting out and would tear up my legs if I got out without using them.
I removed the factory Tremor rails and installed...
Back in the late 90s, I managed a quick lube which was a local chain of former Jiffy Lube locations. Over the time I worked there, I did every single job in the store from vacuuming cars, transmission services, oil changes, etc. to balancing the books. Some oil changes were easy while some were...
