The redesigned cover was aftermarket, had holes in it for moisture to drain on the engine. On the upside, the concensus was it could double as a mini Blackstone griddle.
That looks like a mismatch for the age of the rest of the plastics under your hood (especially since you have no moisture issues after 2 years). I would suggest either removing it and selling to a 2022 owner, or painting it Ford blue. ;)
