Thank you. Yeah literally if I was 1 second faster in my drive time and 1 foot to the left it would have impacted directly on the driver side window. Not sure my exact speed but speed limit is 50mph on that road so some where around that speed +/- 10mph

Thank you & me too lol. One good thing with this kind of damage is truck is fine to drive till they either get the replacement hood or have a opening in their schedule to do a repair which I wouldn’t think would take more than a few days. Just hope a rental is available. I feel for the people...

From the replies it sounds like either fix or replace is much higher than my deductible so I’m sure I’m using my insurance. More I think about it I hope They replace the hood. I’ll update once they body shop looks at it. New hood would give me more piece of mind I think.

When I googled ranger hoods earlier I saw some links to ones but haven’t had to to investigate that option.

If they can get it liking right in fine with that. I’m very curious to hear what they say when I take it in. Trying to keep it positive in my head. A lot of people have a lot worse problems than a dented ranger hood so I’m thankful if this is worst thing I deal with for a king time.

More than anything I want it made right & that was my thought being in the crease. Never thought about after market upgrade. if I did that I presume I have to take the cash payout from insurance then take care of getting a aftermarket hood on my end
