  1. Other hobbies and interests?

    Motorcycles and tiki culture/drinks.
  2. Pet Peeves

I would’ve never figured that would be an issue as the PRND setup has been the same as long as I can remember so if for whatever reason I didn’t know what I was in, I could always move it all the way back up and then back down to whatever mode I wanted to be in.
  3. Report your MPG

Averaging about 22-23 overall. Highest has been 24+ on long trips and lowest is 15-16 when just commuting. Always 87 octane as running 91 proved a negligible difference in fuel mileage for me. YMMV...
  4. This worries me...

I really need to get the step rails. I'm hoping that will at least stem off the side bolster creasing.
  5. Turbosmart Dual Port BOV

Nothing you do to your truck voids your warranty unless Ford can prove it caused the problem/failure that you're experiencing. In other words, if you install an aftermarket BOV and have an issue with your engine, Ford would have to be able to prove that the aftermarket BOV caused the problem...
  6. This worries me...

Saw your other post on this but figured I'd post here too. Mine has been doing this for some time now and I only have about 7500 miles. The middle-rear of the seat cushion is creasing too.
  7. Pet Peeves

I only have about 7500 miles and my seat has been doing that for some time now...
  8. Pet Peeves

But how does the attribute to a guarantee of higher mileage? Literally every scientific process followed to prove such a theory has come up with an answer of no.
  9. Pet Peeves

I ran for a month on 91 and a month on 87. The difference was only in tenths (which could be attributed to temperature differences, honestly) with exactly the same kind of driving. I only used the truck for commuting for two months to measure it. People have been buying into the myth of...
  10. Leer 700 series Tonneau

Gonna add the BedRug too? :D
  11. Fordpass will be free permanently!

Sure it does. You don't use CarPlay? I'm assuming Android Auto does the same thing too.
  12. 2019 Ford Ranger Reviews Compilation

When John uttered that line about Toyota declining to participate and the Frontier basically being archaic, I literally laughed out loud. I was wondering from the beginning of the segment why the Tacoma wasn't there but basically had no reservations about why the Frontier wasn't included. I'm...
  13. local Ranger sales

My 2017 2.7TT F-150 absolutely got better mileage than my Ranger does. It also was faster and more powerful. However, it didn't make sense for me overall and the Ranger does due to wants versus needs. Thus, I went with the Ranger instead and still don't regret the decision.
  14. Pet Peeves

Why do people need tailgate dampers? The tailgate weighs nothing in the first place so I don't understand the need to just drop it and furthermore, I sincerely doubt you'd throw open your side doors all the way every time you open them so what's the difference? It's just a gimmick to me.
  15. Problem with 4th gear?!

The TSB fixed this issue for me but every once and a while, it seems to return. It's like the boost cuts off and the engine revs but nothing happens. it's brief, of course, and once I've driven for just a 1/4 mile or so, it never returns until the engine gets cold again. I'm holding off until...
  16. I'm addicted to 'S'......

I came from a 2.7TT F-150 and believe me, the F-150 was a rocket compared to the Ranger. BUT...that doesn't mean the Ranger is bad at all.
  17. Lets see those Cab window decals!!

Been an A's fan since 1989 and I've always gotta...er...rock...the "Rock or Something" sticker from Inkfidel to remember those wonderful days of eating MRE's back in Uncle Sam's fraternity. :flag:
  18. Report your MPG

Got about 7900 on mine and I am probably around 80% city and 20% highway. Best average was 25.6MPG driving from the SF Bay Area to Portland and back. Worse is the city mileage I get just commuting to work and back which averages around 15.5-16.0 MPG. Normal freeway driving will net me in the...
  19. SuperCab Rangers are Rare Here, How About Your Location?

I see SuperCab models from time to time and they're not even mostly fleet models. However, I just don't really see the new Rangers on the road in general so there's that, too.
