I wish that they would add either battery voltage or State-of-Charge for the 12V battery. I don't drive very much or for enough distance/time to get a good charge.
Dealer replaced the sender and it seems to be working well after a fill-up. (no extra clicks!)
The Engineering Mode display as I posted previously, shows a steady reading when stopped (while full) and only changes during deceleration. I suspect that as the tank empties it will slosh to a higher...
Is your battery "state of charge" good and within the range to enable A.S.S.? If it is low, the A.S.S. won't function. Also, I don't know, but I suspect that there is some command to the powertrain controller involved that might be missing. I didn't see any ForScan item for that online.

It turned the link into http://ford-trucks/ instead of https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1654547-auto-start-stop.html
Not sure what happened there. Try the full link instad of the "ford-trucks" bad link.

It's at the dealer today, they are going to change the sender. Finally!
The service manager said that this is their third 2022 Ranger with this problem, and they have only seen this issue on the '22's.
I live in a small town and this isn't a big dealership.

Thanks for the explanation and detail. I wonder if the other fuel level display modes are for these two sender resistive elements.
Next time I fill up, I will check those other display modes and compare them.
Still haven't heard from the dealer. I don't know if this is a part shortage or...
My '22 Ranger has this problem whenever I come close to filling the tank. After the gas pump shut off, I did a "single click" of the pump nozzle one time and since then I get the "Check Engine" icon and the "The powertrain control module has detected that the fuel level signal has repeatedly...
My old 2010 Mercury Milan had a backup camera that was displayed in the rear view mirror.
It would periodically go to a "snowy" screen like an old off-the-air TV. I found that a good whack to the trunk lid would bring it back. I finally tired of this and took it to the dealer. They replaced the...
I'm starting to look into reinstalling my Yaesu FTM-400XD. I like this installation option (wow, a lot of $$$ though!). Any concerns with overloading the front end of the AM/FM, Sirius or GPS? It's in close proximity to the ham antenna(s). I'm more concerned about permanent damage, I wouldn't be...
Who makes that bracket? (and where did you get it?) I have a Yaesu FTM400 that I removed from my Flex that is sitting in a box. I would like to reinstall it in the Ranger and I am starting to look at options.
Thx,
Greg
My engine cover arrived yesterday. I ordered the studs/nuts per the TSB, but there was a package of two stud and nut sets included. Apparently this comes with the cover and I didn't need to order them separately? The part number of the bag is L1MZ6A949CSUB, which calls up the cover when I...
This has happened on every Ford I have ever owned. My 2011 Flex had it, not rusting through to the outside though. I also sprayed it with Fluid Film in the last few months (before I decided to trade it in on the Ranger). It also happened on the Mazda 626 I used to own.
I am also glad to hear that everyone is OK.
My old Rangers seemed to attract rear end collisions. I even added a hitch-mount brake light and it still got hit. I had the theory that the higher tail/brake lights were not in the line of sight of some drivers. I think that some people drive like...
I ordered the cover, studs and nuts from a Detroit area Ford dealer that sells online. They had the cover, but were warning that the studs/nuts didn't fit my '22. I see elsewhere that they are OK for the '22 and since they are called out on the TSB, I ordered them anyways.
I decided not to wait...
I used to work for the "Famous automaker headquartered in Dearborn" in the Audio Systems area. AM is very susceptible to noise. We had a problem with the Variable Assist Power Steering module on the Lincoln Town Car back in 1990. The VAPS had a high current PWM signal and was obliterating the...
I did find this at https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1654547-auto-start-stop.html
"The PCM sends a PWM signal to control the cabin heater coolant pump. " per the 03-06-2021, 12:23 PM post.
There might be a driver module that has power semiconductors that...
My '22 Ranger has the Auto Start/Stop deleted, per the window sticker and absence of the button.
I have seen that the availability of the "delete" option of this "feature" was due to the "chip shortage".
This is very general, I suspect that there is more to this than the "chip shortage"...
I installed the dreaded "tailgate damper" on my '22 XLT yesterday. (there sure are a lot of amusing comments...) I had four previous Rangers without a damper of any kind.
Other than it seemed like a low-cost upgrade, I was concerned about accidental drops of the tailgate causing shock damage to...
