  1. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

I say, good morning, Andrew! Ford says 8 yr 80,000 miles emissions system warranty. I didn't read through it to find what specifically is covered, but here it is:
  2. Ford pricing

Do your homework, some Fords were actually cheaper before the employee pricing. We just took delivery of our 2025 Explorer 3/31 (sold the Mariner, keeping the Ranger) and had $3000 in rebates, which is less than invoice. Not by much, but others like Escape are higher now.
  3. Ford pricing

Dlr would like that, midsize 2-row SUVs are hot right now, new or used, so Farely in his infinite wisdom discontinued them- run a CarGurus or Carvana estimate on it yours.

Misconception #3142: Sinclair Oil Corporation has long used a Brontosaurus named Dino as its mascot, the association being that dinosaurs morphed into crude oil. Brontosaurus excelsus did indeed roam the western US 150 million years ago, and was a herbivore (vegan), but I don't think that enough...
  5. How often do you use 4L?

I used it quite a bit last year on a trip through the Grand Staircase National Monument. 64 miles and took 5 1/2 hours. There were a few sections of narrow trail with rock outcroppings, and I used 4L and Trail Control for the win. I set the TC for 3mph which allowed me to concentrate on steering...

  8. 90K - Ready for new tires - Help!

I replaced my OEM Hankooks at 50,000 miles and there was still usable tread on them. I'm not too surprised that you were able to get to 90K.

I've never heard of that. We had Divco milk trucks here; they were about the size of a Transit Connect. stetson hats and either bow ties or neckties were common garb for the service industry, like gas stations, milk & bread drivers. Interesting Norman Rockwell illustration depicting the...
  10. loss of infotainment traffic

I've never used Sirius XM, either. Apple Maps has traffic embedded in their app. It gives traffic speeds using a colored band on your route, and It also has alerts for speed traps and major road incidents. All I do is plug in my iPhone, select Apple maps from Car Play, enter my destination via...

Sorry, I got distracted pasting a page of S & H Green Stamps that I got while shopping at Woolworths... Re #16, How is it that we used to have men whose full time job was to deliver milk in a glass quart or half gallon jug with a paper pull tab lid right to your door and pick up the returns...

  13. Driver's Side A-Pillar Grab Handle

F150s have grab bars on both A-pillars.The side curtain airbags are anchored inside the A-pillar and deploy downward. The A-pillar cover is stationary. I think the way the system operates is the front airbags deploy first then the side curtain ones deploy from over the doors.
  14. Ford Ranger shifting delay from 3-4 gear

Are you driving in Sport mode or Trailer Tow mode? Towing or heavy payload in the box? Mine shifts 1-3-5,67,8,9,10 under light throttle, and 1-2-4-6,7,8,9,10 at moderate throttle. The only time I can make it shift 3-4 is in Trailer Tow or Sport Modes. I had a problem with herky-jerky operation...
  15. Belt Tensioner SNAPPED OFF

The fuel in my oil has seeped into the transmission and now it shifts more smoothly. The water in plug well #4 causes a misfire, but that offsets the driveshaft vibration perfectly. ? I do sympathize with those having major problems with theirs, but it's true what they say about forums...
