I was wondering where you picked up the blacked out FX4 decal, looks nice on there and would look better than the red on my blue with the blackout package.
One last thing, do you find that the goodyears pull to the left........
That is exactly right. I went with the Ford Performance Fox 2.0 setup, I'm really happy with it.
If you want to know how loved the FX4 suspension is, just go look in the classifieds here with the prices asked, I have had mine up for $100 for a bit here now. I'll probably toss 'em in the...
Normally when I'm doing axle nuts I pull the center cap out of the wheel, put the wheel back on and do the final tighten on the ground. There is no worries about the car falling that way.
I'm always up in the mountains here, standard for me when starting a long downhill is a shifter drop to sport and two clicks of the - button. It's just about perfect %90 of the time, when the descent is over I pop it back into drive.
You're going to need to get the center and the axle at a 90 degree to each other all the way around ( squared up ) before attempting the insert. Sometimes CV joints are a little stiff and hard to place EXACTLY in the orientation you want when the parts actually come together just with fingers...
The trick is to get the center part of the CV joint and the axle all squared up, then it really will just slide back together. Until you can get them in the correct orientation force will do you no good.
You're more than likely going to need an extra set of hands to hold the knuckle/hub just...
Just to be clear, you have it ass end in and the bike resting on the skid plate at the end of the tailgate. Interesting, went out and measured and the very tip of the rear fender on the sumo is right at 40". The Yakima would work with that. The only thing that would worry me then would be...
I've spent some time trying to figure out how to do the same thing, I have a WR450f and a KTM 1190r ADV, both of them are about 53" tall at the highest point ( hanguards, your 500exc or 790 adv will be about the same ). From the bottom of the bed to the top of the cab is 40" so your going...
I've Had mine for a couple of weeks now, put the Ford Powersports Fox 2.0 kit on it this last week so the wife and I had to go give it a roll on some rough 2 track up in the hills. It's night and day from the stock F4X stuff, it does not rock back and forth anymore like it was way underdamped...
Come and get em, 3,000 miles on them and I swapped to the Fox 2.0.
Strut and spring assembly front and rear shocks.
Threw them in the garbage where they belonged all along.
