No it won't, you hit the + button and it will only speed up one mile at a time. So if you're set at 55, speed up five miles, you either have to hit the + button five times, or hit the RES/CAN button, THEN the + button.
And that last line in my post is probably an Ace Ventura joke.
More than a pet peeve, and not exclusive to the Ranger, but I hate how the cruise control doesn't reset if you go faster than what you initially set it at. Like if you set it at 55, then go up to 60, you have to turn it off and then turn it on again at that higher speed. But it WILL let you...
I too have an MBRP, 3" installer series. I like the MBRP because you only hear it when you accelerate. Which the first couple times I had it in Sport mode and I took off, with the accompanying sound, scared the hell out of me.
Damn nice truck. Gave me some ideas for what I want to do with mine. I like the blacked out tail lights, and the Ranger sticker. Do you have it on both sides?
This thread got me thinking. I love in one of the fastest growing areas in the US, Western Washington. I saw maybe two Rangers before I bought mine, and since then I've seen only one other. Oddly enough it was exactly like mine, down to the FX4 package. Weird.
Most definitely this. 18 for a truck, even a smaller one like the Ranger, just isn't enough. Hell, Ford could make that much more money by making the standard f150 gas tank of 24 gallons an option to buy for the Ranger. Call it something snappy like the, oh I don't know, the Ranger Extended Fuel...
Haha, the same happened to me, especially after putting the MBRP exhaust on. I know it's mostly psychological, the louder exhaust making the truck seem faster.
As much as I love the 2.7 and first gen 3.5 I previously had, the Ranger flies off the line like no other.
I'm at 23.5 with 1500 miles behind me. Granted I'm addicted to the instant gratification of the MPG readings, and have really adjusted my driving style since my 13 F150 that had one. Also, I'm a night shifter, and like to take midnight drives on the highway, which is picture perfect driving...
I feel pretty confident that I will buy a Ranger again. I will have gotten use to having such a torquey little rally truck with the ability to get around a city with ease.
I'll always have love for the F150 with a 2.7, but the Ranger is so far a worthy successor.
I'll be the dissenting voice. I owned my own home for a couple years, and it was an awful experience. I'm back to renting, and couldn't be happier. And since I have zero debt outside of a truck payment, and no kids that can find me, I can afford a very nice apartment.
Granted, I'm a borderline...
I think I saw that, actually. I think the more subtle approach to the red like that thin strip near the bottom would work better. I might just get the calipers painted race red and leave it at that.
