I believe it is the dampers fault.
the latch mechanism is grapheme lubricated at the factory. Normal daily driving creates a harmonic resonance that excites the nano grapheme balls creating a continuous lubricating environment on the nano scale. The damper has a cushioning effect against...
When I'm busy with projects, mine is running non stop. I've lost count on how many print heads I've used up over the years. But I'm currently at just over 8 miles of filament through the current one. My Ultimaker 3 has been a great machine over the years. I've never had to do any major...
I printed some polycarbonate brackets. Holes are slotted for the lights, top ledge is the width of 1/4" VHB. Top edge is taller than the tape and allows for alignment against the back edge of the grill before pressing up to bond tape. Whole thing is offset so its inset just behind the top...
Each light is connected with a waterproof connector (Dorman 91441) and connected to each other. Towards the front I soldered in a pigtail with shrink wrapped bullet connectors to bring the wiring out of the tube. I drilled a 3/8" hole for a 1/4" grommet to run the wiring out. There are two...
Running board lights installed. Also got around to installing the Bug Deflector II and some custom light covers. Thanks @Msfitoy for the tip on the nilight ambers.
Finished up the custom lighted inserts for the Tremor running boards. That was a blast wiring. The inserts slide and lock into the existing extruded aluminum replacing the old caps.
Now I see dirty fingerprints that need washing!
to the left and right of the license plate bracket mounts are two retaining clips. I removed those and used the hardware included in the lights. There is solid metal for the bolts to tighten against. I left the grill inside while attaching the lights. Then reinstalled the grill. For the...
Custom ranger pod covers. I do wish the backlight on this Rigid's were brighter. Its a subtle look. I do need to scuff these up with 2000 grit as the gloss clear is a bit to much.
I’ll be upgrading the fronts soon with Kappa Series. But this thread got me thinking why the stock tweeters are so meh! If you crank up the treble with the mid flat the tweets aren’t half bad. But once you add some mandatory mid to offset the bass needed in the doors the tweets get washed...
In Northern Idaho its mostly Ram (boat towing), Ford, then Chevy. Although the amount of Taco's outweighs Chevy by a ton. I didn't see one Ranger until I got down into Utah. I wouldn't be shocked if I'm the only Ranger in the CDA area.
Designed up a pair of new end caps for the running boards to house some lighting. This way I can test if I want running board lights without drilling anything. These slide into the existing extruded aluminum and mount using the existing screw hole in the rear. I used heat pressed threaded...
