I'm wondering if running 75 profile tires in the front and 60 profile tires in the rear would handle ok. The purpose would be to get 1" closer to level (raising the front) without changing any hardware. Would appreciate any experience or expertise based advice about this.
Anyone running 20" wheels and if so what are the specs that you like?
So far, I only see hub bores at 106.2mm (too big) to fit over the stock 93.1mm center ring.
Are centering ring adapters available?
The truck is "tuned" from the factory and has tow mode from the factory. Are you saying that the factory tow mode is going to blow the truck up? Of course not, so what are you really trying to say?
That may be how the "tunes" are marketed, but in reality, there is only one tune in the ECM and the entire range of driving conditions and octanes can be included in one file and that is uploaded just once. The ECM only uses one file, which was many different tables that can all be...
Is there anyone in these forums (besides me) that is experienced in modifying ECM and TCM software tables for the 2.3L Ecoboost? I would like to chat ...
Do you actually have to upload another tune every time that you want to tow or do you simply switch to tow mode and use the modified tune that was uploaded earlier?
We are in agreement, but the point is that you should only have to upload one tune and within that tune would be tables optimized for 93 Octane Sport, 93 Octane Towing, 87 Octane Sport, 87 Octane Towing, etc.
I don't understand this "multiple tune" concept. The ECM is capable of adjusting from 87 to 93 Lo octane stock, so any new tune should optimize AFR and timing from87 to 93 octane too. The transmission tables are all there from 4 wd low to 2 wd sport and 4 wd sport. Why not provide a soup-to-nuts...
Any tuners in here? I'm looking at the stock tune via VCM in a USA 2023 Ranger 2.3L and under Oxygen Sensors it reflects only one sensor fitted. There are clearly two O2 sensors. What's the deal in the tune?
Interesting. I put a Thermal R&D 3" cat back on mine and did not get a CEL, but the truck feels weaker at lower RPM. I'm going to add the CVF downpipe, CVF charge pipes, CVF intercooler and then get a tune hopefully optimized for new plumbing. I hope the tune restores the low-end pep.
My experience with a 2023: I put a catch can on it right after purchase and put in top tier synthetic for the first oil change. I had to empty mostly gasoline out of the catch can ever 400 - 500 miles (almost full). I was getting about 19MPG. Once the truck covered about 15K miles, There is...
