Amazon DPFE came today....I pipe cleaned out both egr tube ports and felt nothing. Installed the part which was 49.99 and came with the 2 hoses crimped on. Fired it up and got an additional code -something to the effect excessive egr opening and the other code p139b. Assumed because it was a...
So 10 days in the shop - $270 for a rental car- they couldnt find anything concretely wrong after measuring voltages, shaking harnesses, scoping, looking for wire chaffes , wire breaks after talking with Ford engineering etc . So they reset the battery and codes ...I paid $232. I told them to...
Still in the shop no diagnosis yet :( ...thanks so much for the advice above airline tech. Valuable info. I am an electronics technician myself for 40 yrs so I get it and have chased down lower than normal voltage references on analog busses, in equipment etc. What I am not sure of is what are...
In the shop 4 days $618 so far,not fixed, they called Fords hotline for help, and now they need to "disassemble" and look for a short ???? Until they locate and photograph the supposed short the extended warranty plan Ford sold me will not pay the $618...and again we aren't fixed nor do we...
Did you guys know there is a battery reset procedure ? I didnt and obviously didnt do it after replacing the battery ........Dealer still working on it....cleared codes so far doing more testing they said.
So I got in it this morning and it wouldn't start. I immediately headed to AutoZone. Dropped $300 on a new battery and it's still goofed up. The gas pedal is lagging response (very dangerous) and acceleration feels totally flat - mushy. It's like it can't read the gas pedal movements correctly...
So this morning everything cool on the way to work ...no issues. So I start it today around 430 pm leaving work . It sat in the parking lot from 830 am -430 pm. No codes or weirdness reported during the start BUT I noticed the gas pedal from a standing start - acceleration slightly off...
My thoughts exactly . Its just weird rather than Ford throwing codes , multiple messages on the driver screen - they should theorize hey somethings up with the battery throw a message stating such fwiw.
75k..... driving a few miles today then parked it. When I came out an hr later the truck popped up collision assist unavailable when I tried to start it , the truck barely started - running super rough then died still parked. I then restarted it and check 4 x 4 popped up in the screen , wrench...
FIXED ....So it's been 4 yrs installed....recently I dropped my phone and had to buy a new phone with a bigger battery. Every time I plug the new phone into the Pioneers USB cable it says something like USB disabled to protect it.....restart unit. My theory is the new phone trips the pioneers...
I tried the DPFE module doing it myself. $31 on Amazox ....I would say my harshness - jerkey shifts appears down 30%-40% ....so I would say thats probably the best Im going to get and a win. Thanks for the replies and advice. My advice to anyone is buy the type sensor with the hoses already...
At ~ 70k on my 21 Ranger I started getting the herkie jerkies when my 10 speed shifts. Im now at 75K .My questions are .......
1.) Do I need to go into the dealer for some sort of software update or will SYNC on my 2021 perform some sort of auto modem update on its own to potentially fix this...
69K miles ...threw on some Ford front brake pads today even though I was shocked and found they had probably around 40- 50% pad left...... amazing. Figured I would go ahead and do them anyway. I also did a tire rotation. My only tip is to roll the pads into the channels with those funky...
Honestly if I saw that design was part of my specific engine there is no way I would buy a truck equipped with that oiling system design . What do all of us here know about belts ,,,they break, fray, crack, slip, stretch over time - kevlar or not ....sigh.
Well its been almost a year since I did this dousing with transmission fluid and saran wrap overnight. It still hasnt squeaked in 11 months - I have some transmission fluid laying around so honestly when I get some time I am going to do it again . FWIW.
I just have to give some credit to Discount Tire in Clermont FL. In 23 years of doing business with them I have had one hiccup in service.....pretty amazing record and today they again treated me amazing. It's so hard to find businesses that are customer focused in this day and age. They never...
