I typically drive in D and it does happen to me at some stops. Just speculation here, but I wonder if the more sudden down shift in tow mode for engine braking exacerbates the thump in the drive train. Also is it possible that sometimes you are just feeling the extra down shift for engine...

It’s a pain to have to bring it in, but I wouldn’t worry about it unless it leaks after they fix it.

I did imply that by stating it’s not battery related. It’s par for the course with EV rushed rollouts though unfortunately

Did you notice it took some time to settle after install? Did that involve a slight drop in height?

Let me clarify though that I replaced my rear with Bilstein 5100 and it’s great. Doing front this weekend on that slippery slope…. but I could live with it now just having done rear.

I have a regular 4x4, non fx4. After purchasing, I wished I had bought the fx4 for better suspension until I found the forum and learned the stock suspension is just poor.

Better Ranger is the Alpha Ranger. True Alpha gets a little wet so the baby doesn’t have to :sunglasses:

We manage to park one vehicle in the garage. Its our older minivan so the family doesn’t have to get in and out in the rain or hot van… My poor Ranger in the driveway!

I saw one of these in person in the dark green color and they are really nice. Haven’t driven one but would definitely give it a shot! I do love my Ranger though. Upgrading my front suspension and doing a level this weekend. Happy 4th!

This is truth. Best ride I’ve had was stock with about 1k of topsoil in the bed. Smooth smooth smooth!

My back pain stems from the same area, but yours is admittedly worse than mine. I find the Ranger Lariat seats to be very comfortable. I’ve only taken one trip longer than an hour though. I did a 600 mile round trip with my kids to Georgia and still felt the seats were good.

I keep my truck in auto all the time and my DRLs stay on as stock config.
