@Stewthebassman happy you got yours worked out!
The whole keyed plug thing was terrible. They put a cover on the front side, which being on the back of the truck, really only gets a little rain or snow on it occasionally, but they left the back side of it open, which is exposed to the underside...
I swapped markers and mirror signals, mostly because the smoked black lenses look so much better, especially on a black truck.
Puddle lights, I just need enough light to see if there is a puddle or not, so I didn't bother upgrading those.
I'm with you on license plate lights, making them...
I ran out of time today, but got the second light hole cut out, bumper step brace trimmed, all the bolt holes drilled, everything painted, and the parking sensors reconnected. Bolting them in will only take 10 minutes, but I also have to run wires somewhere under the truck to get to the engine...
That just turns free car wash day into free interior wash day
or
Cops in your area get out of their 4 wheeled rain coats when it's raining?
Agreed, but also probably not stripping a tire clean off the rim, nor cutting through both side walls in that distance either. That kind of damage comes from driving a few miles after they are blown out, even at low speed.
There are lots of Police chase videos available showing tire damage and...
I had my factory bumper replaced when I bought the truck, and the front plate holder wasn't compatible, so they didn't install it. I was okay with it, because it would have completely ruined the look of my truck.
I eventually made one but (un)fortunately the day after I installed it, some...
I've been killing it the last week or so getting a few things installed that sat in the garage for way too long. Today I got to my new reverse lights going in the rear bumper. Rigid Radiance Scene Flushmount red backlight, which both the red and white will be controlled through my Spod Bantam...
"Need" is is a pretty high bar. Most don't need their trucks, they could just pay someone a delivery fee. Want for easier use, more versatility, or better conditions is a more accurate description of most day to day situations.
Yesterday I picked up 2 boxed chairs, which didn't fit under my...
Now I am getting what, that your personal opinion of reasonable is all encompassing?
You want to reserve 'reasonable' for what matters, but you brought it into the discussion on some dumb pieces of metal in post 38.
As to your questions, as I noted earlier it is not black and white, but gauged...
Your version of reasonable maybe, but that is subjective and not in any definitions.
Headlight is a terrible example, because as you note they are legally required in most cases, therefore Ford can't sell a new certified vehicle without all required parts. Just like they can't sell you a truck...
Still nothing noting that "required to work" is in any of the definitions.
Regardless of bulk discount, there is no way or justification to charge $31 for pennies worth of steel bar and a basic punch press pass through. Even with a single worker making these by hand, they are going to pump out...
Agreed it's not a black and white issue, but again I say when Ford removes the 2 extra tie downs, then increases the price to 1500% profit, for a product that is only sold to people who have already spent $30K or more on a FORD truck, that is price gouging. And certainly as you said ealier bad...
I searched for days online, using every resource I could find to get something similar enough, but nothing I found was compatible. The easiest work around, which is what I was going to do, was buy some 5/8x1/4 flat bar, hit it with a torch and put some bends in it. Fortunately I found someone...
Maybe you need to look up the definition of price gouging. Nowhere in any of the definitions does it include 'required to work". In many states there is a legal aspect to the phrase, but it is not all encompassing, and not key to following a natural disaster or affecting the public as a whole...
